Queen Margrethe II attended the Life Guards' Parade 2019

On November 13, 2019, Queen Margrethe II of Denmark attended the Queen's Clock Parade at the Royal Life Guard in Copenhagen and presented the "Queen's Clock" to one guard for his exceptional service. After a period of service in the Livgarden, the Royal Life Guard selects the best guards of the period. At the parade, the Queen presented a clock to the guard who was honored for having been a good friend and a capable soldier. It was Anders Bang Nielsen who received the clock from the Queen. The handing over of "The Queen's Clock" has been a tradition since 1970.

  1. A rather different look for Queen Margrethe, but I like it -- even in spite of the quirky hat. The pretty sleeves and that rich, vivid blue are the selling points for me.

  2. Comfort and warmth must have been the instructions given to the designer for this coat.
And what is the antenna on that cute little hat for? To listen to the radio whilst working.
Otherwise, nice to see the Queen going about her duties with such a big smile. Long live the Queen Margrethe.

  3. A royal blue Ballon coat - the only thing I like about this coat is the colour. The ballon sleeves , the stick-up collar, the funny little hat with black trim and a handle on top- sorry, a big no.
But Queen Margarethe can carry it off, with a big smile as aways.

  5. The Queen is most often times dressed so well, yet this outfit, with a voluminous coat, though a lovely color is not appealing, nor is the odd hat with shiny bit, and the antenna on top.... JT

This is a beautiful coat, but appears to be very big, in the body and sleeves. Glorious colour. The Queen looks lovely though

  9. Très joli manteau dans cette couleur "bleu-roi" mais je n'aime pas du tout son petit chapeau/bibi singulier ?
