  1. Tricky outfit. Velvet is such a rich fabric, and the subtle shine to it can look so luxurious. But it can also look cheap and unflattering when it´s not cut right. I think Sofia´s outfit unfortunately is an example of the latter. The belt was unnecessary to begin with (as it gives the jacket a morning robe vibe), and it causes the whole midsection to look cluttered rather than structured.
I do like the deep wine-red colour but somehow I don´t find it harmonious with Sofia´s hair colour. Her hair is such a warm orange-y brown, and the jacket a cooler tone, I don´t think it goes well together. I actually had the same thought seeing Kate in her wine red skirt suit today. Both ladies have gone for a much brighter and somehow orange-y hair colour that didn´t go well with their respective outfits, and I´m afraid not with their own colouring either.

    1. I agree with a lot of what you say, Vanessa, especially the tie giving a morning robe/dressing gown effect. I would say the same about the robe with the turquoise trim worn by the lady in the photos--- definitely a dressing gown feel for me. Sofiua, however, always looks lovely.

  3. Her jacket reminds of the ones Hugh Hefner, of Playboy fame, used to wear. And velvet bell-bottom pants, too. Oi.

    1. 100% Hugh Hefner in the 90s. The first thing that came to my mind. LA

    2. Yes, overload of velvet, not a good look.

    3. I agree, total waste of money. It is not as if she does not already have a large wardrobe to choose from, to mix and match. Hugh Hefner - good one!!

  4. I love the jacket. It’s a beautiful jewel tone. The pants are a miss for me. They needed to either be in the same color and fabric or black in a different fabric. I like her make-up and hair color.

  7. Not a bad look at all, the blazer would be better without the belt, just with buttons.

  8. Morning robe look, too shiny, the same goes for the colourful Lady on the left.

  10. Love this blazer and pant look. Looks very festive also going into the holiday season. Doesn’t look cheap at all. Looks like velvet to me. Her makeup and hair have looked stunning lately!!! Diane

  11. Velours de couleur "Bordeaux" très joli mais seulement avec un boutonnage, ce blazer serait plus élégant !!!
