Princess Marie attended a dinner at the Swedish Embassy in Copenhagen. The dinner was held by the Ambassador for Sweden, Fredrik Jörgensen and called "Annual International Stop Wasting Food Dinner", and focuses on reducing food waste which is a sustainable goal of UN. Goal 12 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of UN is to ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns. Selina Juul also attended the dinner. (Princess Marie wore a new floral-print midi dress by Maje.) |
It will take me a while to figure out why this handkerchief hem works, when normally handkerchief hems (imo) do not. It must have something to do with those contrasting panels. Anyway, Marie looks lovely! And the model looks horrible wearing trainers with this dress.

DeleteIt likely seems to work because a) it is longer, almost full-length, and b) the silhouette on Marie is long and narrow (as opposed to broad) and the material os softer so it falls better.
DeleteI prefer it when these uneven hems are longer, and here the lighter panels give it some interest. She is the third royal (at least) to be wearing these handkerchief point hems. I wonder how many more are still to come.

Not that nice of an outfit. Can't stand this handkerchief hem, it just don't look right to me. Love Maries hair and earrings. Nice to see her at an event in Denmark.
ReplyDeleteThat looks rather random to my eyes.
ReplyDeleteGREAT evening and topic!!! Is it possible to discuss the subject and substance and not the clothing worn to the event.?.
ReplyDeleteIt is possible, but since this is a fashion blog (look at the title), clothing comments and related opinions are expected, and in order.
