| On November 6, Ivanka Trump arrived in Rabat for a three-day visit to Morocco in order to promote women's rights as part of the White House's Women's Global Development and Prosperity Initiative. Morocco’s Princess Lalla Meryem welcomed the daughter of President Donald Trump at the airport in the capital, Rabat. On November 7, Princess Lalla Meryem, the sister of the King of Morocco, hosted a royal dinner in honor of Ivanka Trump, the daughter and advisor of US President Donald Trump. |
On meeting Ms. Trump on her arrival, Princess Lalla Meryem and her entourage dressed in Western fashion, and Ms. Trump attempted to honor her hostess by wearing her interpretation of Moroccan fashion. While Ms. Trump's pant suit was well fitted, the gray color was a bit depressing. The embellishments on the jacket were nice. When I think of Morocco, I think of vibrant colors, like those worn by the Princess. At the dinner, Ms. Trump again wore gray, but with more sparkle. In all the pictures Ms. Trump displays an almost plastic-like smile which I find a bit off-putting. The Princess' gown is glorious in its color and style, and her earrings are stunning.
ردحذفI do admit that when I think of Morocco, I think of Lalla Salma. I know that a lot of people are worried about her. Where she stays and wether she is fine.

ردحذفBoth ladies look beautiful and for all the delicate embroidery and amazing skills in their creation, those caftans look very comfy as well. I really loved Ivanka’s fashions for this trip and the highlighting of Moroccan women being able to own and manage property was an amazing thing to behold.

I like Ivanka´s shorter haircut. Helps to disguise her long neck and looks light and fresh. Her gray arrival outfit is nice, although I think that a different colour for the trousers had been better, like wine red or navy. I assume that the caftan she wore for dinner was gifted to her as it doesn´t seem to fit her at all (way to large).
ردحذفAs for Lalla Meryem, I think her outfits are lovely. The velvet caftan in particular is exquisite. The orange suit is fine, even with the red blouse, but I don´t like the "sagging" lapels.
Ivanka looks fine but a bit much lip filler.
