  1. I love it when Duchess Kate goes on tour. She treats us to wonderful colours and style. This dinner dress is very beautiful, nice of her to match colours with her husband 💓💕

  2. Like in the fairytale of Sheherazade and the Arabian Nights!

  3. Usually I'm not a fan of so much sequins, but this really pays off. The deep shade of green, a stunning rich colour on Kate, combined with the golden earrings and a subtle but beautiful scarf... She shines, she's glowing! Keeping her accessories simple and minimal, she really nails it. I also love the fact that William is dressed in traditional clothing as well.
    Well done!!

  5. She looks outstanding. That green shade looks so good on her and the gown is fitted perfectly l. And William so SO GOOD. These two are rocking it till now.

  6. Gorgeous and appropriate look for Catherine. William fits right in too, good colour on him.

  7. Wow. They look fantastic. Catherine's dress is beautiful, as usual. The green is a beautiful nod to Pakistan, and fitted perfectly. I love that William dressed as he did. Perfection all around!

  8. Both just totally amazing. How handsome Prince William is in this outfit. And the dress. And earrings. I have no words left.

  9. How nice! This time we get to comment not only on the Duchess' outfit but on the Duke's as well.
It think that both of them look wonderful - smart, elegant and with an honourable and charming nod to their hosts, without being overdone or comical. The matching greens work very well to my eye. William really needed a pair of soft low embroidered slippers typically worn with a kurta suit, but I suppose his western shoes look OK. However, tremendous kudos to both of them!

PS I love the colourful Tuk-Tuk in the background in the first photo. Would have loved to have seen them arriving in it. Gonna search the 'net to see if I can find anything.

  10. Not in love with Kate´s dress. Too sparkly, almost causing a wet or latex-like look. And the padded shoulders look exaggerated because she is so very slim. This dress needs curves and hips, and Kate got neither. She is a very attractive woman, but this dress is wrong for her body type.
The emerald green is stunning as such but the sparkly design looks weird next to William´s green-gray outfit (that I assume he was given). Their outfits clash in many ways, which is unfortunate.
Pakistan´s national monument is very impressive.

    1. I agree. The dress needs more curves. I like the colour but would prefer it with less sparkle. Beautiful earrings but I don't like the hairstyle. William in this green suit looks funny. -Siri

    2. I had the same thoughts. Interesting to see there’s at least two of us who aren’t necessarily ‘taken’ (meant in the most respectful way) by the glitter and sparkle and the allure on young royals looking elegant. I wasn’t going to comment, thinking ‘what’s the point?’ -everyone loves just the fact that it’s a n evening elegant look. But I guess I was partially wrong (if not quite completely wrong). I get the idea of elegant cohesive showing from the future monarch(s), but, reflective of local traditions and expectations as it may be, this isn’t the most inspired choice as I see it. Certainly one that easily catches the eye :).

  12. What a stunning couple. William looks very dapper wearing a sherwani, and I like that he has chosen his velvet loafers to pair with his outfit. Outstanding. Kate nails it again. Beautiful gown, hair and makeup. She is wearing earrings from another Pakastani designer, O'Nitaa. They seem to be enjoying themselves as much as their rickshaw driver is. I hope the rest of their trip is as enjoyable.

  14. Sequinned with a lot of curves and hips can also be an overkill :-) - but I think neither overklill nor success depend on sparkliness. For me, everybody can wear a sequinned dress, simply because being sequinned does not define the dress alone. Neither curves and hips nor being slim should restricts basic choices, only if someone wants to to hide curves - or slimness. This green dress is gorgeous, majestic simplicity at its best and just the right amount of sparkliness with this color.

    2. I certainly agree with you about lot of curves and tight sequinned dress: NO- NO. But I meant her very straight body type would look better with some pleats or something around her hip area. Kate like many very tall people has not so good posture and very thight clothes underline that also. -Siri

  18. The color is stunning and I love the added detail of the beadwork on top of the sequins. The gold earrings are a nice compliment to the dress. Love that they are both in green.

  19. I generally don't love sequins, but this dress is a work of art, the jewel tone is beautiful, the dupatta is a wink to the host country, the slightly padded shoulders, gives Catherine very much needed volume, and the cascading of the hem is so very elegant. The earring are the perfect touch, IMO she is a 10. I was pleasantly surprised to see William with the traditional outfit, he looks both dorky and adorable❤️

  20. I've noticed that the DoC no longer lines her eyes with black liner anymore and I am so glad. This soft smudged brown liner is so much more flattering. Overall a lovely look but I wonder how it would have looked if she had put her hair up.

  21. They both look stunning but really surprising is William in his sherwani - he looks great.

  22. Oh I love this dress on D. Catherine. Beautiful colour, beautiful fit. I disagree that she’s too slim for this style, in fact it’s her slimness that cuts down on the ‘ vavoom ‘ factor of a body conscious look like this. Her makeup is wonderful too, lighter and more natural than we’ve seen in the past. (V.M.)

  25. Kate looks stunning, beautiful dress, hair and makeup perfect. And William looks handsome in the traditional outfit. You can see people around them are enjoying their company. The driver's smile says all.

This emerald evening gown is stunning, the Duchess wears it beautifully, I disagree that she is too slim, it sits nicely. The fall and flow of the dress on moment is spot on. The draped chiffon scarf is the perfect finish for this gown. For me this is the best evening gown yet. She looks stunning.

  27. Un vestido precioso, que debe pesar una tonelada. El está guapo pero le hubiera puesto otro color a su traje. Los dos colores chocan entre sí y desluce el conjunto.

  28. This darker shad of green is beautiful on Kate, and the earrings are perfect. William is the winner of the evening though, very handsome and the colour suits him perfectly.

  29. I love Kate's dress here. She looks stunning. My only criticism is her makeup. Just a touch heavy for my liking which IMO makes her look a bit stern.

  30. I am curious: do those sequinned dresses weight much more than sequinless dresses? At least it looks heavy the way it drops towards the ground. Nice to see William wearing something else than a traditional suit or tails for a change. And this time they had to open and close the car doors themselves... :-)

    1. It depends on what the sequins are made of, the size of them and the density of them on the fabric or garment. Sequins can me made from metal, crystal or plastic but more usually plastic for general wear (more expensive ones for couture), which if thin enough are the lightest. The coating which gives them the degree of sparkle (ranges from muted/matte to bright) also contributes to their weight. Some heavily sequinned garments can be quite heavy, and even moreso if the fabric they are attached to is heavy itself. Other materials such as chiffon, would be light. Sequins can be individually attached or come in strings or threads.
