  1. Victoria's smile saves the day with this dress. It just seems an awkward thing to wear such bold stripes and their horizontal use across her chest makes her look very broad. I would think a designer would use more imagination in playing with stripes. The band at the bottom hangs nicely in the model photo, but as worn by the princess in 2018 the pleats puff out. Not a good look in that photo. Maybe somebody forgot to press in the pleats. It is a "hard," masculine impression that she gives in such a style and color.

  2. CP Victoria, you, are lovely, fun, full of spirit. This dress should be relegated to the dust bin. Too much going on with stripes this way and that, and then the bottom, full of pleats.... JT

    1. Agree entirely, JT. Too many stripes and then there's the pleats as well. Nice colours, though.

  5. Belle robe mais la bande du bas n'est pas pour Victoria ; elle serait plus élégante si elle était plus près du corps... Les boucles d'oreilles me plaisent beaucoup !!!

  6. I don't think we should be so tough with this dress! Not a masterpiece in design, difficult to wear, but she is doing quite well. Colors are nice.

    1. I totall agree. In the end, it's Victoria's personality that counts. She is radiant, fully interested and committed.

  7. Agree. That dress doesn't flatter anybody. I have seen it elsewhere, for which I had the same opinion.

  8. I like that dress and it's nice to see it again. The stripes don't make her look broad -- they could be a problem if worn by a bigger person, but with Victoria's sporty figure they look fine. And naturally the pleats move when you walk, as you can see if you look at the pictures more closely. When she stands still, the pleats look similar to the model photo. "Hard and masculine" are odd words to decsribe this dress. Its modern and stylish, a bit sporty even.

  9. A nice looking lady but this dress and her hair in a bun are doing her no favors.

  10. The dress that used to win from Sweden is not from 2018, the first time Sele saw her put on it was at the Mass in honor of Carlos Gustavo's 70th birthday, her father, the king of Sweden that was April 30, 2016.

This dress is a rare miss for me. Not keen on the stripes. Her pearl earrings on the other hand I love. It is great to see her focused and committed to her work.
