  1. Sorry Märtha Louise, but it's a no from me. You are a beautiful lady, but the neckline is (a bit?) too deep for me and the pattern of the dress too busy.
The dress of the lady next to her in the second picture is way better, very nice, but also with a deep V-neck. But I atill prefer that one over Märtha Louise's dress.

I think she looks gorgeous in that dress. Not all the photos of the dress look great, but many of them do. And more than the dress, she is a very attractive woman in her own right. Nice.

While I personally wouldn’t wear this dress, I like it on Martha Louise. I feel it fits her personality and looks great on her. Her floral boutonnière gets loss with her down. I wouldn’t preferred her hair pulled somehow we could be able to see the boutonnière and her earrings better.

Oh I think this dress is beautiful on her! Lovely colours and a great fit. (V.M.)

  5. I think it's a good choice to celebrate the last of their summer days. She wears the dress well. In a couple of weeks they'll be back into their long dark winter. A dress to share the last of the summer flowers of 2019 ...... no?

    1. I don't think Martha Louise will be in her homecountry a lot this winter. She is surrounded by celebrities lately and lives a completely different life and will probably stay in the US to live her life there with her current lover. And in some places there it will be summer.

    2. @Iris, don't you think it is disrespectful to call somebodys partner their 'current lover'? Which includes the presumption there have been many 'lovers' before and will be more to come. A 'lover' is nothing serious, it's just for fun and for the time being.

I find it also disrespectful the way you speak about celebrities. Amongst what is called 'celebrities' you find real fine people who are famous and known for what they are doing, be it as artist, actor, musician, author, designer and much more. Being 'royal' does not make you a better person than others. Besides that Märtha Louise has lost her title 'Her Royal Highness' when she married and she does not receive any money from the Norwegian state. She is a private person who earns her own money and can do what she likes. Although she still takes over some representative duties for the Royals House she has no obligation to live in Norway, she is a free person and can live wherever she wants.

    3. Iris; but she has her three kids living in London. Sure someone needs to take care of them.

The princess and her children don´t live in London anymore, but in Bærum in Norway.

  7. Love the dress! I am not a fan of flower dresses, but this one is different, colourful, modern, fun and kind of 'arty'. I think it suits Martha Louise perfect. Thank you for introducing me to the norwegian brand of TSH - Tina Steffenakk Hermansen, which I didn't know before. They have some beautiful dresses on their site.

  8. I like this - it suits her. I might have preferred her hair up in a much maligned messy do but I think she looks great.

I also like the dress of the lady in the second photo.

I don't know which path is good or wrong for her and nobody does and as this is a fashion blog, it is of no concern here. But the dress is simply beautiful and it suits her well. It has been announced lately that she is not going to use her Princess title in her business activities, so that neckline is also fine. --Ann

    2. @Jules, how do you know, she is on the wrong path? Do you have deeper knowlegde of Shamanism or energetic/spiritual healing? If not, maybe you want to inform yourself. There is more in this life than the material world, there is more in this life than the eyes can see. Every culture has their own heritage of natural spiritual healing. In some parts of the world it is called Shmamanism, in some parts Vodoo, in some parts Traditional Medicine. Think of the TCM the Traditional Chinese Medicine which relys on the energy system of the body and mind. Jesus, who was not a doctor or a rabbi has reportedly been healing people, with nothing but his words: Believe, rise, take up your mat, and walk. Energetic healing! A miracle, or Shamanism, or Vodoo.

Martha Louise has always been interested in spiritual topics. It is kind of logical that she found a partner who shares the same interests. They look good together and seem to be happy. What else would you want for a person.

Seriously, to mock a religion?? Tacky and disgusting Jules. First if you actually took the time to learn anything there's Haitian Vodou and Louisiana Voodoo. Vodou has many different sects. Their leaders aren't called Voodoo men/women they're called mambos (priestesses) or houngans (priests), some use shaman depending on where and what sect. Vodou has been around just as long as any religion. Do not mock the faith and belief system of my ancestors brought to America and forced into slavery. How dare you.

Wow Jules!!! What a judgmental comment, how in heck do you know what’s the right path for people?
How could you possibly have the gumption to write such ugly comments? I am sure she didn’t ask for your opinion, so please keep it to yourself and stop gossiping.
Love the dress , a very different floral, happy and artsy, and she looks very pretty.

  12. @Jules, why? What do you know about this woman or anybody else's for that matter? And why domyou think you have the right to judge and give advice that nobody asked you to? How would you feel if you were in line at the store and some woman would start telling you how to live your life, and how wrong your life choices are... ridiculous!! Your comment is nothing but gossip, and that is a terrible character flaw on your part, maybe you can start working on yourself instead.
Now to the fashion, I love this dress on her it's like a happy painting, I would have made the hemline a bit shorter in order to show some fabulous sandals, and I would have put up the hair in some destructured updo, to draw attention to the lovely décolletage and show her beautiful face, nevertheless, she looks lovely.

  13. Ich mag das Kleid und finde, es steht der Prinzessin sehr gut. Ich habe Märtha Louise selten so strahlend gesehen. Sie scheint sich also auf dem rechten Weg zu befinden - und wenn nicht? Es ist ihr Weg.

Märtha Louise is such a stunner, the dress is quite nice on her. On the other hand - run, Märtha Louise, run away as fast as you can.

To people criticizing and jumping on Jules, Jules is not the only one voicing concern for this princess, a LOT of people believe this will not end well for her.

This dress suits the personality that Martha Louise projects. It alludes to nature and organic things. The dress flows around her like a waterfall. She looks very youthful and pretty for a mother of teenagers.
Jules, if she is happy, let her be. It is better to have loved ....

Jules made an observation. If people dislike the observation it is just that: an observation. Martha Louise always was connected with "spiritual things", yes. But her work, if she takes revenue with that it's another question. The point is that she looks like she goes with the wind, or in that case boyfriend. As we already watch this path with her ex-husband. Now, if someone says something impopular everybody came and made assumptions about this person life.

    1. @Anonymous 1:31 & 3:08: Unfortunately true. This blog is a terrific way to keep up to date on what the royals are doing and wearing, but it's necessary to develop a thick skin (and a robust sense of humor) if you leave comments. Voicing even a fairly tame observation or opinion -- about fashion or anything else -- can bring hypersensitive thunderbolts down on your head. A good way to keep perspective is to picture the scolds struggling to dismount from their lofty high horses. Cheers!

To Anon 3:08: As for "just an observation": It is an observation concerning her person, her private life, this is what makes it simple gossip. This blog is a fashion blog so it is very simple: Stick to the topic and gossip where the gossip blogs are! Here it is simply off topic. --Ann

I don't think I made a try. It was unpopular, yes. But a lot of times we made assumptios about everybody. Royals are people that are in the public life. She is out and about with her boyfriend. She could be dating privately as a lot of other royals do and did. A lot of times we attack the person that gives her opinion or say that this is a fashion blog. But if if its about a royal that is loved or hated... Things got heat. We have to welcome debate not shy from it. That is my point. Ana

@Jane Chantal, the ones in high horses are the ones gossiping about her private life, and we weren't born yesterday.... if the man was blond with blue eyes even if he was the devil, there won't be any "advice".
Maybe we aren't hypersensitive thunderbolts, but just decent, kind people that don't go around casting aspersions and maligning other religions and and fellow humans just because they look different, and they don't conform with our life style.... what you define as observations are simply misplaced moral judgements.
    Have a blessed day!

    1. Susannah, I want to ask you a few questions: How do know that there "won't be any advice if the man was blond with blue eyes"? How do you know if it is "just because fellow humans look different"? Do you really know that - or is it assumptions?

Probably, Susannah, you (who describe yourself as "decent and kind") are the one having prejudices and stereotypes?

Good try Coralie!! Nope, you can't turn the tables, gossip and judgement is what some dabble on many forums, hopefully this one will remain civil, and the trolls will stop meddling on others people's lives... who our fellow women date, it's their choice, their privilege, and their given right, no need to offer unasked advice.
      Have a great day.

    3. Excellent job Coralie pointing out the hypocrisy. There are some commentators thought-policing this site. Lots of moral finger-pointing, and personally attacking people with different opinions while accusing them of personal attacks.

I am happy to read about various opinions here. Controversy is normal in any discussion, and for me, it´s welcome as long as it is civil. Unfortunately some people seem to only tolerate careful, superficial and politically correct smalltalk without any substance.

As for the dress: It´s nice and suits her well, but it is a tad too long on her, and the waistband sits weirdly high, partly on her bust.

Anonymous @7:04, thank you!! , after reading this blog for some time, we pretty much have come to get an insight of some of the participant's "observations", which of course is an euphemism for trolling, and the perfect excuse to gossip, and give their well intentioned advice (not), I sometimes wonder if they do the same to their family and friends, the must be delightful.
