Queen Maxima visited Met je Hart Foundation in Breda

Today, Queen Maxima had two engagements. Queen Máxima firstly visited the Met je Hart Foundation (With your heart) in Breda in the morning. Stichting Met je Hart is the winner of the great Appeltje van Oranje 2019, which is the prize of the Oranje Fonds for successful social initiatives. Met je Hart motivates and mobilizes volunteers and partners in an innovative and entrepreneurial way, and organizes meetings for vulnerable elderly people in order to reduce loneliness among old people.

The Queen's second engagement was to visit and open children's exhibition Superstraat (Superstreet) in the afternoon, held in the Wereldmuseum (World Museum) in Rotterdam. Ten Rotterdammers live and work in the fictional Superstraat. They were born, raised in Rotterdam, moved there or fled there. The residents of the street symbolize various cultures and more than 170 nationalities that the city contains.

  1. I wonder who buttons her green top?

    1. Lizzie, do you know "Star Trek"? There was a character called "seven of nine", a beautiful young female who always wore a very racy costume. One day the director said in a radio-interview that they pay two assistants to help the actress (jrey Rian) to put it on. Several thousand men called the radiostation to offer their assistance unpaid.

Nice vibrant summery colors . I think pony tail or a messy bon would be a good idea .

  3. As soon as I saw the very first picture of the yellow/ orange outfit, I literally said: 'O dear...'

    1. Ha Ha! What I said was: 'Madre mía, pero ¿qué se ha puesto?' When I arrived to the green dress with the giant escarole I was out of words.

I just love her colours! Bold and refreshing!

Nice as the yellow/mustard colour may be, to me that outfit is not suitable for a daytime event in the summer. It's too hot, too shiny and too elaborate.
I much prefer the green sleeveless outfit. The colours are refreshing, and the outfit is cooling and summery.

The yellow dress isn´t bad, but the sleeves are too much, and the yellow shoes and bag are overkill. With deflated and simplyfied sleeves and neutral dark pumps and bag, it would have been a good outfit.
The green outfit is not good. I do like green but this looks toxic. Also, neither top or skirt really flatter her, that poufy flower is too much. As one other reader has noted before, the gloves look odd with a sleeveless dress, as does a hat indoors.

    1. Wearing a hat indoors in normal etiquette. For a man wearing a hat would be seen as an accessory, so he would have to take it off inside. For a woman, a hat is part of the ensemble, so she keeps it on inside.

Pamela un día si y otro también.
Los vestidos están bien , aunque sigo pensando que se arregla demasiado para los eventos que visita.

  7. Maxima is the queen of one of the richest royalties in Europe. It seems to me they could afford a good stylist, and hairdresser, so she doesn't look so bad so many times. I'm sure they may have one for evening looks because usually she looks great with hair and dress at special night events. But maybe she thinks she can take care of it herself?

Two looks for the Queen today. Love the yellow dress. The green one is a bit loud for my taste,it looks nice on her, but the salad thing on her left shoulder is a bit much. But if someone can carry it off, it is Maxima.

I think she looks great in her usual exuberant way. I just wish she would lengthen the hemlines to the bottom of her kneecap. She’s a tall woman and her skirts always look too short to me. (V.M.)

The yellow outfit is beautiful and the green is gorgeous! She looks wonderful and regal.

  11. I like that "Granny Smith" green combonation very much. Queen Maxima is able to wear the most flamboyant outfits (including great hats, which are a must for her style).
Only point, the skirt is simply to short. -
Don't get me started about the first pics (yellow dress, tired hair without something fancy on her head). Wrong choice.

  12. I find both outfits disastrous, short, wrinkled, over accessorized, the hair, the excessive makeup that adds years...
I get that she is an original and exuberant woman, and she is very likable, but lately her outfits border on loud and gaudy. I do think that she is in dire need of a new stylist, with good advice she can keep her essence, and look much better, then again, she is probably rather pleased with her choices, and is just a matter of different opinions :-)

    1. Agree again with you ;-) It's just... simply too much bad things together here. Especially the first outfit. The hair, the busy dress, odd sleeves, stiff and not very becoming fabric, the weird fitting at the bust area and actually, ill-fitting overall. Sorry.

  13. I must be a very voracious person: the yellow outfit makes me think of some Indian curry dish and the green one of ambrosia.

  14. Love the bright colours. Give me this over dull navy and black day dresses (okay for evening!) or bleurgh beige any day. I particularly like the green outfit which seems ideal for a summer day. Having said that, both dresses are too short and while I like the colours in the first dress, the fit seems poor and I don’t like the shiny fabric. Love the photos of her interacting with the old folks. She must have absolutely made their day

  15. Love both dresses.
The green dress is already known.
I like the yellow dress better.

both dresses are beautiful, the yellow one is just not for her, it matches her hair and skin tone as if she was a canary
