Queen Elizabeth II visited Gorgie City Farm in Edinburgh

On July 4, 2019, Britain's Queen Elizabeth II visited Gorgie City Farm in Edinburgh on the final day of Holyrood Week 2019. Gorgie City Farm was a waste depot until the 1930s, and later a civil defence training area during the war - it has now been transformed into an outdoor resource. The farm grows a range of fruit and veg, and even supplies some local shops and restaurants with its produce.

  2. Queen Elizabeth always looks lovely in this colour. It's the first time I'm recalling seeing large lily buds on her hat - but good for her, lol! :)

I watched the YT video of this visit and I have to say, it's one of the most charming and heart warming things I've watched in a long time. She seems positively thrilled to be among all the farm animals and the children who made and gave her gifts.

  4. Is het geen tijd dat ze haar werk doorgeeft aan haar zoon, zodat ze naast haar man rustig aan de tv kan zitten.
