Princess Eugenie of York visited Westminster Abbey in London

Princess Eugenie, co-founder of the Anti-Slavery Collective and John Richmond, the US Ambassador to Combat Human Trafficking, attended a tour of Westminster Abbey to see the grave of William Wilberforce and to learn more about the journey of British abolitionists. How lovely! I think she looks just wonderful.

The dress is light and summery, and the style and flow of it is just perfect for Eugenie. I know it's an overskirt but that's just fine by me. It's a nice non-detracting style detail in this case.

I like the soft waves and curls of Princess Eugenie's hair, and her minimal makeup is very attractive. But, I think the (big) floral print of her dress is too matronly for such a young and vibrant woman. Solid colors, or color-blocked fabrics, with a slimmer, more structured silhouette would serve her well, I think.

  4. I love the dress, its color, pattern and length, but I don't love how low the neckline goes. It is very distracting and unnecessary to show her breasts.

    1. I think so too. At the beach, fine. But for a church... not so much.

To show her breasts????? The dress just reveals the fact, that Eugenie is a woman - nothing more. I really like the dress on her, it really suits her perfectly.

Agree with KH and Rosalyn. I think they know she is a woman, a beautiful one. Otherwise the dress is nice.

    4. Well, she was not showing her breasts totally, that is true. And no, it is not necessary to cover ourselves up totally. But to show people more or a lot, isn't necessary either. If you're at the beach or a swimming pool, fine. But this was a church visit, and yes, In my opinion you should cover yourself up. That's more appropriate.

    5. Agree with you, KH. Imo decolletage is inappropriate in a daytime dress; in this case it detracts from an otherwise very nice look.

    6. I agree a little bit. It is strange becuase on the model the neckline looks higher.

It's like the neckline was intentionally cut deeper in order to show more cleavage. Less is more. No one needs to show so much cleavage in order to be identified as a woman.

    9. Her neckline is too low for a daytime function .
Camilla used to do this too .
perhaps the Royals do read the comments afterall

Women with larger breasts have cleavage. We shouldn't and won't hide our curves. To say it's unnecessary is just ridiculous.

Agree with Rosalyn. I have large breast.
I always take care not to make other people uncomfortable with the matter. Am I silly?

    3. No Anon 6:34, to me, you are not silly. It's decent, neat and humble. My mother has large breasts too, and it's not always easy to show not too much. I'm raised with the saying that breasts are 'private', they are yours. They are linked and associated with intimacy and that's why, in my opinion, you don't have to show them to the rest of the world.

    4. Dear Anonymous at 6:34, you are not silly! I think that there has been a lot of change, fairly recently, in perceptions about how much exposure of "curves" is too much, whether the exposure be in the form of low-cut dresses, spandex maternity wear, or very form-fitting trousers. Feelings on both sides of the "debate" can be quite strong, but I think everyone can agree that every woman should think about her reasons for dressing the way she chooses to, and should respect her own comfort level first and foremost.

What an odd opinion. Westminster Abbey is not even a strict catholic church where the "no cleavage at any times" maybe could be understandable. A church is just a building like others. Browsing through the internet, looking for church services held at Westminster shows that the building won't tumble down by the look of "breasts" Personally I alway prefer showing respect to people to showing respect to buildings.

    3. Anon 8:04, do you mean that we don't have respect for Eugenie? That is not the case and nobody said anything like that. You may find our opinion odd, but we still have the right to have one. And seeing more people agree, we're not alone with our 'odd' opinion. Thank you.

P.S.: wie zum Beispiel die Frau, in dem burgunder-farbenden Kleid (letztes Foto). Perfekt für den Anlass. Die zeigt es, wie es richtig geht.

  10. I like the colors, the length, the pattern of this summer dress.
I would rather see the overskirt with the same size, it's a wrap dress and when she walk the green bottom skirt appears and it looks like a mini skirt.
But the neckline IMO looks very well in her, for me it's not inappropriate or something like that, she is young woman with curves and this enounces her silhouette perfect well and without being excessive.
And I love her waves and curls as also her soft makeup, she really looks great.

Moggi: Lovely dress. I would like to see something like this on Crown prinsesse Mette-Marit. Trying to picture it, and think it would have looked nice.

I agree as well. It's a lovely dress, the neckline is not inappropriate to the place or the occasion by any means (it's a tour after all, not a religious ceremony), and this dress style would suit M-M very well.

As for the dress, a tinzy bit revealing, but overall, fantastic!
