  6. Congratulations to this lovely couple! My hope is that the little one is named Spencer after his mother's maiden name. As far as the little one being granted letters patent to be styled "his royal highness" and a royal prince, my hunch is that that will not happen. I don't think Prince Harry wants his children to be hindered by royal titles. So, he will most likely be styled the Earl Dumbarton or Lord Dumbarton one of his Prince Harry's subsidiary titles. Again, this is just a hunch, I could be completely wrong on all counts! Time will tell...

I'm so happy at this wonderful news!

    1. His mother's maiden name is Markle. I think it's unlikely that Spencer will feature - the British upper classes don't tend to go for surnames as first names. But maybe they feel less constrained by tradition as they aren't in the direct line.

    2. I really wrote that second sentence wonky. Let me try again, "My hope is that the little one is named Spencer after Prince Harry's mother's maiden name: Lady Diana Spencer.

  8. Congratulations!! Credit for both parents in regards of how to deal with all the social and printed media's pressure.
Meghan went on to rest in the last couple of weeks before the birth, which it looks like the most sensible thing to do, and regardless of all the speculation, I am glad that they kept the birth private, and the proud parent has given to the public all that there is to know. Hopefully we will see the official portrait whenever it's appropriate and away from flashes, screams an pandemonium at the hospital steps.
Best wishes to this lovely family.

    3. I agree with Fardoche. He's still the grandfather. I don't think it's right he didn't even meet Harry before they got married.

This is not our business. They know why the family does not function as it should.

  14. Wonderful news! I hope that Meghan's horrible father and sister leave her alone. Having a newborn and learning to be a mother is difficult enough the first months.
