  1. She's always lovely and appropriate, and her warmth and sincerity shows too.

  2. I liked this outfit in all the pictures until I saw the full length ones. It's just too long and too full a skirt on Sophie. No idea whys she has taken to these very long "midi" lengths--her dress on Easter Sunday was also too long IMO. She has good legs so doesn't need to hide them and she could easily lose 6 inches off this and still have a smart below the knee look. She seems to be such a lovely person, which is obviously what's important and she has a great figure--just not dressing to advantage at the moment.

Css. Sophie looks really nice today well everyday actually. Today she has special fun with the children, good for her.

  4. It's a very pleasant dress but about 6 inches too long on her. Maybe it is the style these days, but aren't her jacket's sleeve awfully long, too? It feels like she doesn't see her body's size as it really is - probably not that unusual. Is that called 'dysmorphia?'

Countess of Wessex looks lovely and relaxed;the outfit suits her style;modest and charming;she is a real asset to the royal family.

  6. Agreed with AnnieM. too long for her - lovely as this dress is, once you see how it swallows her lower part, it looses its elegance. And it would be the easiest thing to take it to a seamstress and loose a few inches (I wouldn't go as far as 6 inches, maybe 3-4, so it looks proportional to the model one from the designer). She is the same height as me, and I find addressing the length on midi skirts/dresses makes a huge difference.

But certainly the look overall is very regal -- some small adjustments would make it perfect.

Her outfit is ok, agree that her dress is too long.
I think she would have looked better in something more casual. Like a pair of nice trousers, blouse and blazer.

For me a little bit "meh". She can do much better. For this meeting with children she could wear an outfit more casual, maybe modern trousers, blouse and blazer. But as usual her smile is amazing and warm-hearted, hairdo is fine

    1. She probably wanted comfortable shoes, and checked which ones she had in a wardrobe. Maybe we expect her to care more for her shoes... I don't think she could do with the shoes of the model

She looks particularly good today, her face is youthful and relaxed, she seems 10 yrs younger than her real age. Seems like she had a good facial and a good night's sleep ;-) The dress is too long indeed and swallows her, but my biggest problem are her shoes - AWFUL!! Why, Sophie, why these outdated granny shoes??? :-( They don't even match in color or style. A big miss there for me, sorry

  12. Sophie has missed again. She has taken a perfectly lovely dress and ruined it. It is far too long, which could not be less flattering. Her shoes are ghastly! She has ages herself 20 years just with her shoes. Since she was going to be with children, on a lawn, she would have been better off wearing trousers and a nice blouse. Her signature style is becoming dumpy and frumpy. She is so lovely and can do so much better. As such a hard working royal, one would think she would have a better wardrobe.
