Whow, that's quite an overstatement sonnenkringel! It's funny how we look at the same photo but certainly don't see the same thing. To me she is average-looking, nothing special - no offence intended, just stating the facts. Let's be real, there are millions of other girls much more beautiful than her, in and outside nobility/royalty circles, around the world. As for this look, I find it outrageously boring, uninspired, like put together at the last minute before leaving the house, like she was coming straight from shopping in the supermarket (an upmarket supermarket, for sure - as everything is in Monaco - but still a supermarket), there is nothing chic about this look... Just because one wears colors that go well together it doesn't necessarily mean that she is the epitome of chic and sophistication. According to that logic, 3/4 of the entire female population of the globe should be qualified as "the most beautiful and sophisticated ladies of our time" I know many ladies in this blog adore her and revere her as a goddess, but I am not one of them, to me she looks either boring (and bored!) most of the time or underwhelming (remember the wash-out colors that she favors most of the time)... Quite honestly, if you walked next to her in the street and didn't know who she is, be honest, will you stop in your tracks to admire her? I bet we all know the answer to this question...

    6. Thank you for this very valuable reflection. In this picture Beatrice reminds me on Grace Kelly and her clothing and that bygone era. I love High Society and the colouring of this time (due to technical reasons) and thats why I´m so happy with this photo. In addition her fashion choices are most of the time practicable and better than Charlotte, Pauline, Stephanie. Yes, yes I don´t know her to say she is sophisticated, but I quite like that she has some interest in journalism.

Since when have cardigans sneaked into fashion. The skirt is nice but the blouse is the wrong colour. The hair style is boring;there are so many nice hair clasps these days.Pierre's shoes look as though they need a good clean.Nice couple who help the Monarchy in Monaco.

    1. I'm not a fan of cardigans myself; perhaps it's a generational thing but they always look rather frumpy to me. Have gotten my head bitten off on another forum for expressing that view, though, so beware! :-D

    2. I'll try not to bite off the head of anybody, however anonym & Jane appear quite demanding to me towards all of them. I rather share the view of Franny

It's a frumpy look, nothing about sophistication here. My mother in her housecoat in the 50s looked more sophisticated than this

Highest quality fabrics (most likely silks) and perfect fit. Don't let the simplicity fool you, this is elegance and sophistication at their best.

  10. Nice couple. Nice appearance - love the skirt and the blouse, pink and grey are a pretty classic combination. The cardigan which I would normally consider daywear works for me - it's just simple and she makes it look classy.

  11. I wonder if she planned her colors around the screen background - a perfect match.

She has class. Not easily spotted in the ‘hundreds of other girls’ that some of these ‘anonymous’ people seem to know so very well (or was it rather ‘millions’ ..?!:)...). Both cardigans and sage as a colour are very fashionable at the moment. And beyond that, she has a quiet, understated elegance (yes, we know, some of you anonymous folks know a few millions better looking anyway). Sadly Grace Kelly ‘s elegance didn’t make it though the DNA to her granddaughters. But at least one of her grandsons chose well when it came to finding a life mate. Sonnenkriengen, you’re right, if you compare Beatrice to the other Casiraghi girls.... it’s obvious.
