The Duchess of Cambridge visited the Foundling Museum

On March 19, The Duchess of Cambridge visited the Foundling Museum in London for the purpose of understanding how they use art to make a positive contribution to society by engaging with vulnerable and marginalised young people. The Foundling Museum tells the history of the Foundling Hospital, the UK’s first children’s charity and public art gallery. The museum works with contemporary artists.

In 2017, The Duchess visited The Foundling Museum and met the first intake of ‘Tracing our Tales’ trainees. Two years later, she met with these young adults again and received information about how the programme has helped them gain confidence and employment. The Duchess also joined them in a creative ‘Tracing our Tales’ training session where participants learnt how to deliver a creative workshop on block printing techniques.

Whether she is a Queen Consort-to-be or not, she is one very beautiful, attractive woman.
    Good on you Catherine, DssOfC.

  2. Lovely outfit as mentioned previously but looks a bit formal indoor. Like Crown Princess Mary's grey dress recently, grey and black sounds dull but the reality is smart, business liek and elegant.

  3. Even though the colours are modest, her appearance has a youthful and energetic vibe. Fresh somehow. I like it a lot!

  5. Love the dress from the waist up, I don't particularly care for the for the length it gives her the skater look, it would look so much better if it was a couple of inches longer , or the skirt had less volume. Lovely hair and accessories.

Yes, just like you said, the upper part is quite nice but rhe skirt really gives a skater vibe, not on a good way.

Very pretty dress for all her duties today. It is just the right style, color, and length.

  8. One of the ugliest dresses she has worn. The skirt ist most unbecoming.

    1. Yes, my sentiment, too. If the skirt was longer and minus the stiffening which makes it flare, it would drape nicely. She is not a "young" woman any longer and I think it is time to dress her age and station - especially when representing the crown. The green coat in Ireland was a much more appropriate style and very becoming.

    2. KH - I 100% agree with you.

    3. Which green coat in Ireland? I don't remember that.

    4. Ouch! Women in their thirties definitely count as young women. 40s maybe not. I would definitely not accuse Catherine of dressing too youthfully--too old on occasion perhaps. Rarely anything but elegant and appropriate.

    5. Youthful it's perfectly advisable for almost any age, "girlish " not so much. In my humble opinion the length and style of this dress reminds me of my school uniform when I was a child.

That dress is def. a step backwards in style. The green coat recently with the integrated peplum was unbeatable. It was inherently consistent as for her age and function.

  9. I don't think its the skirt, I think its the neckline - seems too prim.

    She looks great even though.
