Countess of Wessex hosted a reception at St. James’s Palace

On March 28, 2019, The Countess of Wessex, Vice-Patron of The Trust, hosted a reception at St. James’s Palace to celebrate the achievements of global eye health leaders in their efforts to bring vision to everyone, everywhere. Among the guests at the reception were the Chairman of the Secretary-General of the Commonwealth, Phillip Parham, High Commissioners and leading experts in eye health. The Commonwealth Eye Health Consortium was established in 2015 by the Trust in partnership with the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine to bring quality eye care to those who need it. That Beckham dress sure is an ugly thing

    1. Sad to say, I agree. So many better choices could have been made. And I would like to see her in shorter dresses and lighter weight fabric that does not "weight" her down. Nice jacket, but does not go well with the dress.

    2. VERY WELL SAID! I wonder why British princesses seem to only know Victoria Beckham's dresses: I wouldn't wear them even if they were given free!!!

I agree, the VB dress actually is quite nice, great tailoring and is not your predictable "pretty dress". I think this is one of Sophie's better days (without the terribly long coats or the dresses that swallow her petite figure).

Not overly nice dress. VB can do better then this.

  5. Don't like the VB dress at all. The Peter Pilotto dress, though, is lovely. Although both are "midi" dresses, one looks heavy and swamps the duchess while the other looks light and spring like. Sophie is another who always looks happy and enthusiastic at any event.
