  1. Catherine does like blue! I like the deep blue, well-fitted dress (and Diana's reworked sapphire and diamond earrings), but the caped coat looks overly fussy with tacked-on parts and seems awkward to me.

    1. True. i think the coat is better on a fuller body type but her royal blue dress and accessories are lovely

The royal blue color of the dress is very pretty on Catherine. The coat is interesting, but bravo to her for being a bit more daring.

  3. I would love to see her with an updo in this coat. Her actual hairstyle covers the fashionate twist of her coat. Whitout this cape it's a typical Catherine-one colour-beauty-look.

  4. Kate kan echt uitbundig zijn en altijd vriendelijk en doet met alles mee. Heel mooi kleedje . Is dit een nieuwe jas, die cape hebik nog niet gezien.

The dress, yes ; the coat no !

  7. Nice blue dress, appropriate and a little boring. I am on the fence on the coat, on the one hand I like the color and the style, but somehow when I look at it I keep thinking of an old fashion nurse's cape:-)

She looks great and how fabulously does everything for. That dress is amazing and kudos to her for trying something new with the cape thing.

Yes on the dress, the clutch and the shoes. Big NO on the coat.

The dress is stylish and well-fitting, but the coat proportions are somehow wrong and the collar looks heavy. I will have a strange old midwife impression.

Well wonderful combination. Love this blue dress also the coat not so much the capelet, I think it can be removed maybe.

    1. I agree. The capelet on the coat does look like it is removable. The coat is very much Kate's style. She likes a lot of structure in her coats, with embellishments and belts being common. I would enjoy seeing more simple coats on her.

The dress is nice but the coat does not seem to match with it, maybe it would be better with a pair of trousers?

  15. The blue dress is nice and typical Catherine style. I love the colour of the coat and applaud her for being a little more adventurous than usual.

But I have to say I'm not convinced by the cape look - she looks like she could be auditioning for a part as a 1950s midwife. Either that or the town crier - any minute now she will whip out a bell and start shouting "Oyez, oyez!"

    1. Your last sentence made me laugh! I love her blue dress, combined with beautiful but subtle jewelry.
But I'm not really a fan of the coat either. There is quite a lot going on with the cape, belt, pockets and big buttons.
But they look both happy and attractive.

  16. that is one fabulous outfit. The blue colour of the dress is great, she looks very good with it. The coat is also very nice, a bit special but really stylish.

Kate really knows, how to do.
I like her style a lot.

Absolutely gorgeous coat, fit and color. And beautiful dark-blue shoes to complement the outfit.

Well, I don't like her style. She seems not to dare..... The dress is okay but I don't like the coat. Indeed: an oldfashion nurse's cape. On the other hand: her hair is beautfiful.

  20. Love the blue dress and the colour of the coat. Really not sure about the cape and I think it is very like a similar blue belted coat she has worn fairly recently--can't quite remember when. She looks fantastic and he does too. Just enjoy watching them together.

Blossoming Catherine! She's just pure sunshine with growing confidence in her roles. Updo hair would have been perfect so we can see more of the coat but still, beautiful.
