The Grand Ducal House made a statement on the court official website. The Count of Lannoy was born on August 14, 1922, as the first son of Count Paul de Lannoy and his wife née Princess Béatrice de Ligne. In 1965, he married Alix della Faille de Leverghem and the couple had eight children. Countess Alix de Lannoy passed away in 2012. Princess Stéphanie was the youngest of eight children of the Count and Countess de Lannoy. Her elder siblings are: Count Jehan de Lannoy (born 1966), Count Christian de Lannoy (born 1968), Countess Nathalie de Lannoy (born 1969), Countess Gaëlle de Lannoy (born 1970), Count Amaury de Lannoy (born 1971), Count Olivier de Lannoy (born 1974) and Countess Isabelle de Lannoy (born 1976). |
That's sad news. It's always hard to lose your last parent, but Stephanie can be grateful that she had her Dad for such a long time in her life. Condolences... May the good memories will be with her forever.
