| The President of the Republic of Cabo Verde, Jorge Carlos de Almeida Fonseca is currently making a State visit to the Netherlands on December 10 and 11, 2018 upon the invitation of the King. He was accompanies by his wife, Lígia Dias Fonseca. On December 10, 2018, Dutch King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima officially welcomed President Fonseca and his wife on Dam Square in Amsterdam. After the inspection of the guard of honour, a reception was held at Amsterdam Royal Palace for the Dutch and Cabo Verdean officials taking part in the visit. |
Natan Coat - Fall Winter Collection
I don´t mind the blue-and-green colour combo (much), but I find the outfit unworthy of a state visit welcome ceremony. The coat looks a bit shapeless (and the sleeves are too short); the material may well be valuable, but it comes across as rough, a bit like a carpet or blanket; the necklines of coat and dress are fighting; and those shoes just look cheap - they would let down any attempt at an elegant outfit.

I actually think that Maxima looks extremely chic here. This is a rather different look for her, and beautifully done. The coat does have volume but also great pared-down simplicity and is carefully tailored to convey (imo) a particular retro vibe. The colors, while bright, work well together.

Maxima's coat is like a big blue bag to me, no shape. I do like her hat and shoes.

ردحذفI love the colour combo and the coat, though it does seem too wide. The President#s wife's coat is dreadful---looks like an old mac someone has given her to throw on over her lovely red dress.
ردحذفI think Maxima looks good although I'm not sure about the green peaking out of the top. I don't mind the colour combination but I think more (or nothing) needs to be on show. For my personal taste the coat could be slightly smaller whilst still retaining the vintage vibe and style.

The colour of the coat is beautiful on Maxima, but not the shape or cut. Shame, she has a beautiful figure. I think, for a state visit, she definitely could have done better.
ردحذفI like the vintage feel of the coat. The fabric and color are nice. I don't mind the hat matching it either. I do not think the handbag needed to match. That is too much. Blue and green are a nice combination, but we needed to see more green. I think more green could have been brought in with the handbag and possibly the shoes. It should be a fun outfit, so that could have worked. Keeping that in mind, probably not the best choice for this event.
