  1. Sofia looks amazing! Silvia as well. Victoria's dress looks like it is just a bunch of fabrics wrapped around her

    1. Agree. There is something wrong with Victorias skirt, obviously it is too much fabric for her. But her hair and jewellry are wonderful.

  2. Queen Silvia yes, yes, yes. Victoria no, no, no. Sofia's dress ok, but the choker does not look good on her.

  3. Queen Silvia looks gorgeous .Love everything about her appearance tonight. Crown Princess Victoria is wearing her mom Nina Ricchy gown of 1995. Victoria looks beautiful.

  4. I love Sofia's gown and the queen looks very good too. I am not sure about Victoria. The gown is magnifique, but her mum wore it better in 1995. In every case kudos for her, that she recycles. I also like Sofia's collar, Madeleine has worn it many time.

  5. Victoria trägt ein Kleid von Königin Silvia, diese trug es vor ca. 20 Jahren. Es ist schick aber für Victoria etwas zu kurz.

  6. I do not care for a gold bow with the silver skirt. I feel she looks overwhelmed in materiel as the skirt is so full.

    1. The "bow" is part of the waist sash. When her mother Queen Silva wore this gown to a Nobel ceremony back in the 90's, she wore a pink bow in the back that matched the bodice. Victoria changed that and the bow matches the waist sash in her version of her mother's gown.

    2. Back in the 90's the bow was pink and gold. Today the bow still is pink and gold. You can find better photos online.

    3. Is it allowed to share a link? There you can see the backside of the dress.

    4. One my one computer the bow looks gold. On another it has more of a green cast to it. What no you all think the color of the waist sash and bow is?

    5. Victoria seemed to have made no changes whatsoever to the gown. The bow is one part pink with flowers attached, and one part bronze-gold like the sash/cummerbund. The skirt is a little too short for her as she seems to be a little taller than her mother was. Maybe it could have been compensated with the size of the heels on her shoes.

  7. Definitely not a fan of princess Victoria’s dress. The top looks like the top of a bathing suit. She seems to be sinking into the bottom half of the dress. Sofia’ dress is lovely. Good color on her. The Queen looks great in that shade of green.

  8. Of the three ladies, the queen's dress has the best silhouette. She looks lovely! Victoria's colors are the prettiest, but the skirt has way too much volume and I'll bet the bow in the back is extremely large, too. Sofia's sleeve caps are exaggerated and not very attractive. For such a formal, solemn occasion her hair should be neater.

  9. This year there the Nobel prize for Literature is not presented.

  10. Was trägt Victoria da???
Silvia und Sofia sehen bezaubernd aus.

  11. Queen Silvia is wow! The emerald green is very flattering on her and the neckline and necklace are beautiful. I do not care for Victoria's dress. The skirt is just too big and the three colors are not good together. Sophia's dress is a pretty color, but the style of sleeves is strange and her choker just gives a odd look.

  12. Winners for me are Silvia and Sofia. Victoria´s dress is such a nice idea to reuse Silvia´s old gown but it is somehow too full from waist to look good. makes her look thick what she is not.

  13. Silvia looks the best.

  14. I see Victoria is wearing one of her mother's gowns. Queen Silvia wore this gown to the Nobel ceremonies in the past. Sofia looks gorgeous in her red gown and pearl choker! Queen Silvia looks very pretty in her forest green gown.

  15. I was wrong about Sofia's choker, it is not the same Madeleine has worn.

  17. Nobel 2018. I must say the SRF sure knows how to dress up. Q Silvia looks fantastic in the Emerald dress and the Emerald Necklace wow. I love the color of Pss Sofia's dress not to keen on the shoulder part of the dress and a nuance to tight I would say, but she looks beautiful anyway. I like CPss Victoria's dress , but it seems to much material and not a fan of that big bow in the back. Overall the Royal Ladies are a hit. The men look very good too. Let's wait for the dresses tomorrow .

  18. Oh wow!!! Princess Sofia!!! Red is her color. I can't get over how she looks. Very regal. And I really like the tiara placement and updo. Best yet for her. And the pearls on that tiara look awesome. The dress has a wonderful shape and the fabric looks beautiful. The Queen and Victoria look good too. Love the green on the Queen. Victoria is so pretty but I am with some of the other posters. The dress is rather bulky on her.

  19. All of the royal ladies look so nice tonight but Princess Sofia just looks stunning!! The dress is just wonderful on her. She looks so elegant with her hair and makeup looking on point and in style. Her sash and orders look good and that choker together with the tiara and earrings just work together so well. After a few tiara events where she really could have used a necklace, she finally is able to get one. I don't think she had one in her personal collection that would work with a formal event.

  20. Victoria’s dress was spectacular when her mother wore it decades ago and is still magnificent now.
What a statement the future queen makes by keeping and wearing it now!

  21. Queen Silvia and Sofia have made a good choice. Victoria - no idea what she was thinking 🤔 This dress has absurd proportions. Only the colours are nice.

  22. Queen Silvia looks radiant in green. Wonderful dress and the fit is divine. Victoria is my least favorite. The dress looked better on her mother but kudos to her for recycling. If anyone could wear the Queen's gowns it would be her. And I just read somewhere that the necklace Sofia is wearing is from her own personal collection. Birthday present, perhaps? It is lovely and a good addition to her jewelry case. She looks absolutely gorgeous in red. One of her best colors, in my opinion. The dress is a real eye catcher--it just flows really well. I bet the fabric is divine. And as you can tell from the lady near Queen Silvia, those sleeves are in fashion. I just love the Nobels!!!!!

  23. Victoria is wearing a gown her Mum wore, very cool! The Queen and Sophia also look equally as beautiful, each in their own way.

  24. I like all three ladies! Victoria looks much younger and looks like a fairytale princess from a children’s book. Beautiful all and handsome gentlemen!

  25. Swedish television tonight said that Queen Silvia's emerald green dress came from a German designer, sadly I forgot the name(s) - it were two names as far as I recall. And I quite like that CP Victoria wore a vintage dress of her mother. Tonight's winner, however, to me is Princess Sofia. Very regal. Did you spot Sara Danius in her odd pink and orange chapiteau-like gown? She always needs something extra-ordinaire, so as if she wants all the spotlight on her. Even worse after her involvement in the scandal in the Swedish Nobel Academy. Well, and the Nobel-laureate women Donna Strickland and Frances Arnold were dressed very elegantly as well. I much liked their outfits.

    1. Sara Danius didn't have any "involvement and scandal". She was resigned from the Nobel committee as secretary because she refused to defend a sexual harraser and turn the other way and pretend like nothing was happening.
That guy even touched CP Victoria's bottom.
That's why there isn't a Nobel Prize for Literature because his wife who was head of that group knew what her husband was doing, and was also telling him months in advance who the winners would be.

    2. Yes. I expressed myself a little unclear. Not a direct involvement, of course. I just wondered about her being there because she didn't want to work in the Nobel Committee any longer.

  26. Queen Silvia Looks radiant, Wowh !!! Pefection. Sofia is ok, her hairdo and Tiara are looking very good. Don´t understand why CP Victoria is wearing her mothers old esemble. They have quite a different character and aren´t twins at all.

  27. Victorias dress looked much better on television. These photoes do not make her justice. It's a Nina Ricci dress.

  28. Victoria's dress is way too puffy, and those huge ugly bows in the back! She should stop wearing her mother's old outfits, they don't fit her well. Sofia and the queen look great and regal.

  29. Sofia looks totally fantastic in the red gown--the winner by along shot in my book, though I agree that the choker is not flattering. Her updo and tiara are gorgeous. Next, Queen Silvia with her usual calm elegance in that beautiful green gown. I also like the red gown of one of the recipients, assuming the front of it is not something strange. Princess Victoria---why?? When she has so much to choose from---why? The front of the gown didn't win me over but the rear looks like a cabbage rose attached to the back. It's one of the worst gowns I've seen on Victoria or anyone else---still love her though!

  30. The ladies look lovely. Apologies if I sound like a broken record that soft pleats are tricky to iron. It looks like someone was trying to evoke an earlier time, like when a queen reigned, with the way Victoria's skirt is so bouffant around the waist. But then we see the back and the lower half where the skirt was creased during ironing. Maybe it was given a light first pressing, then no one double checked, and the second pressing wasn't done? They've been so spot on and impeccable in the past, one occasion of being human shouldn't detract. I like the way the Royal Family makes the the Nobel Prize ceremony a special event every year. Lovely to see the tiaras.

  31. After seeing more pictures of Sofia's dress, I like it even more. Only the choker and the sleeves are too much for me; but besides that, I love it from head to toe.
Still can't like Victoria's dress. Her hair is gorgeous though.
Silvia is very beautiful. Still a pitty that Madeleine didn't show up, I'm always looking forward what she will be wearing at events like the Nobel Prize.
