Italian President Sergio Mattarella's State visit to Sweden

Italian President Sergio Mattarella is currently making a State visit to Sweden as the guest of the Swedish King. His daughter, Laura Mattarella accompanies President Mattarella. On November 13, President Mattarella was welcomed by the King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden with a state ceremony at Stockholm Royal Palace. Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia were also present at the welcoming ceremony. The State Visit aims to further advance the long-standing, good Swedish-Italian relations. (In the evening, the King and the Queen will hold a gala dinner at Royal Palace in honour of President Sergio Mattarella).

  1. I love Laura Mattarelli's pillbox hat; totally classy! The rich purple of her hat and dress with that beautiful scarf are also lovely, as is the gorgeous blue of Queen Silvia's coat.

CP Victoria's dress is one of her best looks, imo.

    1. I love Laura's hat, scarf, coat, beautiful. Just shows you don't need to be a princess or queen to have style and good taste. Sofia's dress is blah, I don't like her style generally, most of the time her clothes never fit well.

  2. Sofia looks really beautiful and she is washing the board with Victoria. Love Silvia´s hat but it does not talk same language with her suit. Laura Mattarella looks little weird in miniskirt when weather is rather freezing.

  3. Queen Silvia looks regal with a beautiful hat but i preferred it with the coat, crown princess victoria elegant and simple as always and Princess Sofia looked really beautiful

  4. IMHO, Sofia's dress smehow is not right for the occasion - it is kind of a simple everyday dress, not for a state visit event. The pretty bow doesn't make it more dressy.

  5. I just love Sofias look! She looks fresh and young with her hairband and the dress is gorgeus. I do not care very much about Victorias shiny dress, but it's much better than those cheep looking flower dresses. Silvia looks younger than before and I do like miss Mattarellas coat very much.

  6. Queen silvia - the best look for me today. Classy Winter wonderland!
Victoria- nice dress but a bit too much for the reception.
Sofia - very nice color but it a summer dress. Not apropriate for a winter States visit at all.

  7. Queen Sylvia when she is wearing the hat and coat together is the only one who stands out beautifully here for me.

  8. I Like Victoria and Silvia's attire. Sofia's dress, however, does not fit the occasion. The dress is a lovely color, but looks like something you would wear to a summer luncheon.

  9. I like Laura Mattarella´s outfit the best. If she had the same poise and posture as the three royal ladies, she´d be my winner here. Gorgeous coat and scarf, and the dark velvet dress has a subtle red shine to it perfectly matching her red accessories.
I equally like Silvia´s coat. Perfect fit, wonderful colour. Her hat goes well with it. I like her skirt and jacket too, but I agree with Blondiini that once the coat came off, the hat looked lost somehow.
Victoria´s dress is not good. This floaty thing does nothing for her, the length is unflattering, the t-shirt necklines makes for a very covered-up look together with the long sleeves and long skirt. Also, I don´t get that horizontal line across her chest.
As for Sofia, nice colour, nice hair band. The dress is rather simple, but it´s a sharp cut, so I think it´s elegant enough. Unfortunately, it doesn´t fit her well (too tight), and her longer version (compared to the model) throws off the proportions.

  11. Everyone is dressed very nice.Love the suit from the Queen,Victorias dress I believe she wore in Lebanon it looks very nice. Hugo Boss's dress Sofia is wearing is a classic maybe it should have had long sleeves it is a nice color, just the hair thing is not my thing.

  12. Queen Silvia's coat and hat are easily the best look of the day in my opinion, closely followed by Sofia's beautiful blue dress. I do agree, however, that without the coat, the hat looks a little odd with the suit. On the other hand, Laura Mattarella's hat looks good with both coat and dress. While I accept that the scarf has nice toning colours, i think it looks sloppy and Victoria's dress does her no favours, though I also agree that it is an improvement on the floral outfits we've suffered of late.

    1. Are you? Of course she may be but she is very slim and she has very nice figure. In fashion wise, there are no great succes today, but they all look nice.
