Pss Stephanie at the 8th Anniversary of Maison de Vie, this is a very important cause for people with HIV and their Families. She worke's for this cause a long time. Her dress is casual right for summer. She could have used a little powder and lipstick, Only MO.

OMG, what would her mother say of this style?

  3. She is so natural, love her

  4. It's too bad Stephanie looks so frumpy here. Her dress ages her and her hair is horrible. She seems like a caring and humble person, I just wish she'd present herself better.

  5. She doesn't look healthy i'm afraid.. although dressed to the occasion

    1. Stephanie's face reflects struggles and pain she has faced and she makes no attempt to hide that legacy. Being in the car with her mother in the fatal crash, many failed relationships, and we know not else. I give her respect for being natural but she does look rather frail and, as you say, not robustly healthy. I wish her well.

I am sorry I don't know where else to put this, but the Monitors of this blog can move it, or create a new one, which include None Reigning Houses. So far only Reigning Houses and the Members there of are spoken or written about. Maybe the others should be included. That would make the discourse more interesting. On the 5th of July Pss Stephanie of Saxe Coburg Gotha married Dr. Jan Stahl an Engeneer at BMW.She wore a very pretty white silk suit. After the Ceremony he looked like he is on cloud 9. They also planted a tree on their Wedding day, to mark the occasion. Thank you for reading this. If you decide not to include them I will understand. There is so much Royal News out there, maybe other are interested to. But you decide.

      Royalty fan
I wholeheartedly agree with Anonymous, there are so many other Royal Houses/Dynasties, can we get some more news about them too, please. For example, I am looking at an update on a princess Charlotte of Liechtenstein, who married a cabinet minister of the old Rhodesia, many years ago, I can't get any news of her. Thanks again, anonymous, for this good idea

  7. I share Isa and Renate's point of view...is there anything stylish?

  8. The dress itself is pretty but she's pretty much dressed for comfort - anyway, it's a great project and appearance notwithstanding, I think she's finally at a place in her life where she has found a degree of contentment and peace with herself.

  9. No, @ Carme GRAU VISA, there is nothing stylish. Stéphanie looks miserable and lost. It may be an honourable thing, that she is engaged here, but from a Fashion Point of view, these photos should not even have been posted on this Blog. Yes, she has experienced trauma in her life, many of us have, it seems she never found the right help to come over it.

  10. I understand her life misery and sadness BUT she needs to make some effort. The other people there are better dressed and more put together than their patron. This is her typical attitude towards most things except the ...circus. She puts on make up for that at least. I have watches this family since way back. Caroline is only 2 yrs older than me. Stephanie has always been spoiled and does what she wants...ergo her life choices. I cannot imagine the guilt she must feel about that tragic day with her Mother. There is still a question about who was driving and that must haunt her at times. But she is a grown up now and she has some responsibilities which means she should at least TRY! Natural? Natural does not mean I got up from bed after a night of boozing and chain smoking threw on my least wrinkled dress and walked out the door. Natural means freshly scrubbed, brushed hair, and at least a small attempt to look put together. She looks anything but natural! She looks messy....
Sorry I just think we are decades past making excuses for her "natural" look.

    1. Diane, you nailed it. There is nothing of fashion here. She looks awful and there's no excuse for that. She agreed to go to this event and thus had the responsibility to dress appropriately.

  11. Oh and tennis shoes and a back pack? She is dressed for a picnic or Saturday chore run to the market.

As Franny said she is dressed for comfort and put herself at the level of people evolving in this circle. She can allow herself to do that, she has no reigning responsibilities. The purpose here is to celebrate a centre which "offers psychological and material aid to persons living with either HIV and AIDS and their families". Placing herself at the same level as these families from a dress code point of view is VERY IMPORTANT. I think this should be acknowledged also on a fashion blog.
The dress, the trainers and lack of make up are ok. I admit however she have taken more care of her hair. Please note that when you mention "make up" in these days it goes well beyond lipstick and powder, far from being a favorite in these days.

  12. Everybody knows, she can do better, but ...trauma or depression or, or, or...
sometimes there is no healing possible or you do not find the right help.
As a mother she has done a fantastic job and over all some carity as well.
She has a lot to offer.

  13. I agree! Sure Stephanie has had her fair share of sadness in her life but guess what haven't we all? No one in this life is spared tragedy, sadness, suffering, drama call it what you will. You have to pick yourself up and move forward. I'm not saying Stephanie hasn't done this but when I see her out and about as the patron of different causes she always looks like she does them under sufferance. She rarely smiles, and often seems not put together. In saying that I'm not suggesting she needs to be dressed to the nines but a little effort would go a long way. I often think she just doesn't care anymore.

Its refreshing to see princess wearing more simple and casual outfit that does not come from some famos and expensive fashion house. Backbag was too much and it pulled her buttons, but otherwise its perfectly okay look.

  16. Well, I think she's just fine. I think she has dealt with her traumas the best she can, she has dedicated her life to bringing up her children and they seem to be a tight knit family.

I disagree that she is there under sufferance - she doesn't do that many engagements, the ones she does are causes that are important to her. I can't say I think this outfit is great fashion but given that this project was her baby and she knows the people well I'm going to assume she knows exactly what outfits she can get away with.

When events are more formal she makes more effort - not haute couture but smart enough. She attended the Fight Aids gala last night and had definitely made an effort - the outfit won't be liked but it definitely isn't casual.

It's untrue to say she doesn't care but Monaco does have a first lady - Stephanie is pretty much a private citizen 90% of the time.

  17. Stephanie shouldn't be compared with other members of the Grimaldi Family ... I like this summer dress but even by her standards: this backpack bag is too strange.

  18. Princess Stephanie seems to have little interest in her personal appearance, which simply does not work for someone in her position. She has to acknowledge that or give up her public life altogether.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Sadly, she looks awful. As she accepted to attend this event she had the responsibility to dress etc nicely and appropriately. I agree with others who have said it's past the time for making excuses for her. People with less advantages than she has, and with their own personal struggles, manage to make the effort so they look like they are making the effort!

  20. Creo la princesa se vistió acorde al lugar:fresca, con "mochila regional"zapatillas última moda este año, me agrada mucho

  21. Interesting photos... Princess Stephanie looks like a regular, average woman, a person without any airs and graces, she looks very down to earth, interested and engaged in the event she is attending.

I have to admit I was a little surprised by her appearance, the casual summer frock, the sand shoes, and the backpack, however I believe Princess Stephanie was perfectly dress for the function she was attending, anything more formal would have looked out of place and most probably wouldn't have been a true representation of the woman this Princess has become.
