King Harald's and Queen Sonja's visit to Argentina - 1st day

On the 1st day of their visit to Argentina, King Harald and Queen Sonja were welcomed by Argentinean Minister of Foreign Affairs Jorge Marcelo Faurie by a state ceremony held at Plaza San Martin in Buenos Aires. After the ceremony, King Harald and Queen Sonja attended a official lunch at the Casa Rosada presidential palace as guests of Argentina's President Mauricio Macri and First Lady Juliana Awada.

In the afternoon, King Harald and Queen Sonja visited the National Congress and Supreme Court. There they signed the guestbook.

In the evening, King Harald and Queen Sonja attended a reception hosted by Innovation Norway. The reception held in scenic surroundings at the Yacht Club Puerto Madero along the banks of the river in Buenos Aires.

  1. Queen Sonja is one of the most stylish woman I know. She is born with style. To quote Coco Chanel. Either you have style or you have not. It is very very hard to develop it. So true, one can see it on this blog nearly every day;-)
