  1. The duchess seems to have gained a few pounds during herhpregnancy and it suits her very well! She looks shimmering and elegant! The duke should have closed his jacket for a smoother impression.

  3. Boooo!!!!!she should have worn BLACK like last year the black dress she wore with some print on it.people will defend her by saying royals should not take any political stand on it.Sexual harassment is NOT POLITICAL,it is a society problem just like mental health she is suporting.if she can wear mental health bands and jacket why cant she wear a black dress??? .this was a poor message she was sending out to the audience and brave activists who were present in the ceremony.pathetic...........

    1. I think her dress was chosen very smart. It is a very dark green, looking almost black when the light is right.
      it's a good compromise

    2. I agree Anna B. But whatever she had done she would have been criticised. And wearing a black dress doesn't stop sexism, exploitation, bullying and abuse...

    3. I totally agree with Anna.

    4. What a bizarre and vindictive post, Chippy95...Attacking another woman for doing her best under sensitive circumstances. Catherine wore a somber color and black accessories. Wearing a completely black gown would have shown disrespect to centuries of dead royal relatives as black is reserved for their funerals and mourning. You do the anti-sexual harassment movement no favors with your mean and judgmental hysterics.

    5. I also agree with Anna!

    6. She wore black gowns on so many occasions which had nothing to do with funerals or mourning.

  4. Oh, my goodness! Catherine looks incredible! I really think this rivals the lavender gown she wore in California years ago. The emeralds are stunning and obviously part of a large set, which would include the long dangling earring she wore in New York at the Met. This is the first time we've seen the necklace and "stud" earrings, which seems an inadequate word for these gorgeous pieces.

  7. Wow!! She probably gained some weight, but for me the most significant is her hair: finally its voluminous again! Stunning!

  8. Oh and she solved perfectly the problem whether to wear or not to wear black!

  9. She looks lovely. The style is great and very flattering. I would say the dark green is a diplomatic way of nodding to the all black dress code without having to break protocol.

Agree William's dj should buttoned, at least while he's standing.

  10. She looks beautiful.

  11. Plus magnifique que jamais. Cette couleur lui va à ravir. C'est vrai qu'elle a un petit quelque chose de plus dans le regard lorsqu'elle est enceinte. Tout est harmonieux, y compris le Prince William.

  13. First time she ever showed a bit of cleavage, I think. I don't much like the style, or at least, the top of the dress.

    1. But not the first for cleavage. She bared cleavage last year wearing a pink dress to a tiara event. The low cut dress highlighted a necklace borrowed from the queen. It was beautiful. I don't recall which event.

  14. The dress by itself is very blah, even though I am sure it cost a lot of money.

However the Duchess looks radiant and glowing, the green colour of the dress is very flattering on her, and those beautiful emeralds look exquisite! Def. a winning look for her.

    1. I agree, the dress is blah, not anything that would make her dazzle. the necklace on the other hand.........

  16. Am I the only one that thinks her make up is a little too strong? her eyes look racoony and her eyebrows seemed to have recently been tweezed so thin it made the racoon effect more showing. I like her previous bafta make up (though not so much her Erdem dust ruffle gown).

on the rocks department: massive gems are hard to sneer at (just sneering at the hair down, middle part-part) its quite modern in design but her hair just flanking the full showing effect of those earrings (and necklace).

On to the gents department: Will's just so pale standing next to her being so bronzed and racoony..and hair all over the place (hers, not Will's). Its an accoplishment of his own managing not to look over bored and under amused in an event. And its quite amusing he finds to choose a loafer, let alone loafer of the same suede material as his wife's pumps.

    1. I think you are the only one who thinks her make up is a little too strong. She looks stunning. As for William looking pale, who cares?

    2. Her make up does come across as too much. her eyeliner is circling her eyes and her eyebrows is too thin making her eyelid looking too racoony.

Because her too looking too bronze William looked washed and pale. There you go.

    2. I agree. The necklace is a bit over the top, although gorgeous.

    3. That is a very good point, Anna-Marie. And emeralds are now also being associated with the movement of supporting women against sexual harassment. Many of the female BAFTA actors wore emeralds.

    5. I love her jewels here and it is so much fun to see such beautiful jewels in public. She should wear more serious jewels really.

  26. The dress is too long, but I like the style and adore the colour.
And while she has more cleavage, why not show it a bit.

  27. Very wonderful couple of William and Catherine

  28. She's gained weight -- natural for a pregnancy. But there is something different about her face in the cheek area. Whether it is the weight gain, a different makeup or what, she just looks different in the face. Beautiful gown and conducts herself with grace and dignity as always.

  29. Katerine wore the most beautiful outfit of all, i saw al the other pictures.

  30. She is such a good looking woman with a few pounds more. Radiant in this outfit with this jewels.

  31. She wore black so many other times. No one would have said anything (what could they have said, anyway? That she is too openly supporting women being treated with dignity?). Opportunity missed.
