Princess Mette-Marit attended an anniversary conference at SALT

Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway attended celebration of 100th anniversary of Knut Hamsun's novel called "Growth of the Soil" at SALT conference hall in Oslo. The novel "Growth of the Soil" written by Hamsun who was one of Norway's biggest authors is 100 years old this year. "Growth of the soil (Norwegian: Markens Grøde)" won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1920. It was first published in 1917. Crown Princess wore a Ruffle trimmed midi dress by H&M.

  6. Well, at least the floral print provides a little relief from all the black. Her hair looks pretty here--less fake and overly dyed. Maybe she is easing up a bit on the harsh white-blond and returning to her natural dark blond.

    1. Her hair is at the same color it have almost always been, it's because of the flash and so such it looks lighter in a lot of pictures. It's easy to see in close ups.

  10. Strangely enough nobody mentioned the heavy tick black stockings we saw on Cathrine recently, but here MM does what we all do and gets flak as usual. First fashion says black stockings or no stockings, second it's winter and cold so deal with it!

  11. I wear black tights all winter as it's cold here. MM sometimes wears clothes that are not "wintery" and they clash with the tights.

  12. She looks superb and happy. She's toned up. Personally i have no problem with black stockings. It looks rather sophisticated and is a great alternative to wearing higher boots for ladies in winter in Scandinavia.
