Princess Mette-Marit and Haakon visited Hitsats Refugee Camp

On the last day of their 3 day Ethiopia visit, Crown Prince Haakon of Norway and Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway visited Hitsats Refugee Camp located in Tigray region of Ethiopia. Norwegian Crown Couple was welcomed by the personnel of Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) at the camp.

Hitsats refugee houses and vocational education workshops are managed and audited by Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC). Norwegian Crown Couple visited wood and metal workshops and young people receiving vocational education. Hitsats camp accommodates mainly small families and also children and young adults.

Norway supports education projects for children and young people under crisis situations. Within the scope of Norway's education initiative, refugee aids focus on vocational education for the children at the camp.
