ردحذفWinnie your facts are not correct, Caroline and Ernst August are still married but are living apart. Also Ernst August WAS 385th in the line of succession to the British throne until he married Caroline, after what he dropped off.

حذفActually Blondini Prince Ernst August is in line of succession, so your facts are not correct. The UK Succession to the Crown Act 2013 reinstated those who had lost their place through marriage to a Catholic.
حذفVery interesting. I knew Prince Ernst sought the Queens permission to marry Princess Caroline, but never really considered his position in the line of succession. Interesting about the UK Succession to the Crown Act, I gather this would mean that Prince Michael of Kent's position has been restored also.
حذفUnder the new laws those now far down the pecking order in the line of succession no longer need the Queens permission to marry, I believe it is only the first 6 in line who need permission to keep their place now.
حذفYes the first 6 in line need permission of the Monarch to marry and stay in line. That means Prince Harry will need permission. The 2013 Act also means the eldest child has precedence over the next child, whatever the gender. Prince Michael of Kent is now back in line.

A lovely casual family affair. I don't mind Charlotte's black dress and sandals but I prefer Beatrice and Alexandra's smart casual trousers and top looks.
