Off the shoulder must be the "in thing" now for royal women.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking the same. Although I like Leticia's more.
DeleteNice! Subtle off-the-shoulder...I'm becoming a fan.
ReplyDeleteSo glad she ditched the ugly belt on the model.
and the ugly shoes on the model!
DeleteHa ha! Barbara, I didn't notice them. Horrible.
DeleteHorrible shoes, I didn`t notice them either!

DeleteThat is a fabulous modern gown and she looks terrific in it! She was smart to leave off the belt. Also, those earrings are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI'm of the opposite opinion, I think the dress is missing the belt, but not the model's shoes. And Mary has simply become too thin (seems almost like an obsession!) to have a dress with 'off shoulders'!
ReplyDeleteI love this dress on Mary. It's elegant and sexy and modest all at the same thing time. Perfect for a modern princess. I agree Mary is thin but at least she is not as painfully thin as Letizia. Mary still has curves, at least.
Deletei am surprise that the Duchess of cambridge didnt already spot this McQueen dress!!
ReplyDeleteCatherine already wore a very similar white Barbara Casasola dress last summer. She wore the white version, Melanie Griffith (an American actress) wore the black version a few months later. Catherine looked fantastic in it.
DeleteLovely
ReplyDeleteNot only the bate shoulders but the cut is similar to the dress Queen Letizia wore.
ReplyDeleteThat's a very nice dress, much better than the flowery one she wore for the welcome.
ReplyDeleteI like it better without the belt. It´s pretty but an odd/difficult length. As is, I think it would look best if styled casually with flat shoes or sandals. I don´t like the shoes Mary chose with it. They are not quite as bad as the ones on the model but not much better in my view.
ReplyDeleteThe dress would have looked great at knee-length, and then maybe, even Mary´s shoes could have worked.
Overall though, this dress is no where near as elegant as Letizia´s black-and-white number the other day. And that´s mainly because Mary´s version looks like one of those super stretchy slip-on dresses whereas Letizias looked impeccably tailored and of valuable material.
