  1. Shall I be the first to say "Little House on the Prairie" strikes again...
But her hair looks nice. Looks like Haakon is growing back the beard.

    1. She must own tons of those LHOTP dresses. But at least this flower print is quite nice. Still don't like the hair colour on her.

Yess, rrrrhh, he looks good, and each woman greeting him looks him in the eyes and is even pointing her finger saying....'Ohh, you are growing back the beard!!' rrrrhh!!....so funny! 'Haha'...*LOl*

    4. Good observaison, Beth! It really seems that women are pointing at his beard. They both are very relaxed with those guests.

    5. I agree! Funny remark Beth! By the way, he is handsome with or without the beard, but I think that he is even more dashing with beard.

  2. I wonder if they park the covered wagon in the front of the palace or out back?

    And where is her bonnet?

    1. Diane, she could not find it in the dark, they ran out of kerosene for the lamp. That is the very reason why Haakon did not shave.

  3. Ohh, Mette!! There are so many nice dresses out there, so many interesting brands, fashion can be so much fun....why on earth would a woman choose this?? why??

  4. And it doesn't look like black stockings

  5. Well you know it's spring in Norway. The sun is shining, birds are singing and MM has put away her black tights and returned to her Little House on the Prarie dresses.

  6. I would not have chosen this outfit for the dinner

  7. I like it - I'm a sucker for florals and Americana. I'd be interested to see what she has on her legs and feet because that would affect the Little House look.

    1. Well, I like it, too. It fits, looks cozy, and it is graceful. But then I am half Norwegian and from the Midwest, and some of us look much like her. Her hair looks prettier because she doesn't part it in the middle from her face. The darkening middle hair isn't so obvious.

  8. Yeah, well, what to say about "Fashion" here? First of all, she feels "comfy" and relatively relaxed, right? That's important for the success of the dinner and evening! (Looks like a pregnancy belly from the side...)
Maybe that dress would look lovely for a picknick, on a norwegian meadow, with a well chosen basket on a fresh tablecloth, a few flowers, strawberries and salmon on the plates. And then comes the Crown Princess to help us with the wine... Anyway, I wouldn't buy or wear it. Pity.

  10. If Kate wore this all the Wanna-Replikates would swoon. Mette wears it and it's Little House on the Prairie. Well, I can see where the Little House comments are coming from but I think she still looks cute.

    1. That's because all the "replikaters" or whatever they call themselves are sheep people who follow whatever she does. Those women are beyond weird.
If Kate would have worn this then I would have said the same thing and added on that she is taking style advice from MM.

    2. I agree Chelsea. I have two dresses Kate has worn. Both from the India tour and both Dongre which I have worn BEFORE Kate. I just like a Boho look in Summer. I also have some earrings. Because I don't care who wears them IF I like them I will buy them if reasonable. I have a pair that Letizia has as well. I adore Maxima but not much into bugs. LOL

I am no "replikater". I do find it odd that so many buy it all. Why? But I wouldn't like this dress on Kate or any of them. It is a cute print for a 20 yr. But seems too casual for this dinner.

MM seems to drift into LHOTP more than she should for some events. JMHO

    3. It extremely odd. There's nothing wrong with admiring someone's style or liking a particular dress, top or whatever it is that they wear. But to literally buy every single thing a person wears is delusional.
      It's like weird stalker cloning.

To quote the great Oscar Wilde "be yourself everyone else is already taken."

    4. Chelsea there is a woman on Instagram that repliKates all of Kates clothes. ALL of them. It is very strange. Especially since she is at least 20 yrs older and a large build. I think it borders on obsession.
