This is a thumbs up for Maxima. Natan can at times be a hit or a massive miss, but this time it's a hit ! The style colour and pattern of the dress, is very flattering on her. Love how Angela Merkel sticks to her 'go to' jacket and pants :-)

For those who seem to ask just to accentuate their political views here: Ivanka is there because Merkel invited her.
Also, it's not the first time nor even a rare thing that daughters (or nieces, daughters-in-law, sisters or even cousins!) acted as first ladies to a President. Why is this such an out of space idea for some of you? This is really very far from being the worst things that the Trump administration brought to the world.
And one thing. We all are very understanding with Crown Princess Masako and the fact that she practically disappeared and DID NOT FULFILL HER DUTIES as CP for like a decade and half or so. Have you ever considered the possibility of Melania being more than uncomfortable with being/acting as First Lady? People there in the US seem to forget she comes from a VERY different country and surroundings. Let me assure you first lady roles and societies in general are very different here in Central Europe - here you have one possible reason for Melania trying to withdraw herself from the FL role and letting Ivanka do things for her. Doesn't she deserve some understanding too, like anyone else would in her place?
Really, I detest Trump but the attitude towards his wife and daughter is just unfair. Hypocrisy overloaded.
Agree with your ZL! And by the way what about Maxima's father? Don't forget that. Maxima said she is sorry about that, but what does that mean? it is not a firm statement in my opinion.
