  1. Love the color of MM outfit. Beautiful pastel color.

  2. I agree the colour of MM's coat is lovely. And I love her little 50s halfmoon headpiece.
I can't say however this is a flattering cut on her. She looks... heavy, somehow.

    1. Agreed. She needs to toss some her clothes because they are just too small. It makes her look a tad dumpy. I do love the color on her.

  3. MM's coat is poorly fitted (and a bit too small?). The hat has a strange sort of Amish look to it.
    The queen looks elegant.

    1. You are right. But pastel colours are very good for her. I'll never understand why she sticks on black and midnight blue.

  4. The Iceland First Lady is not appropriately dressed, I think

  5. I´m not too fond of Mette-Marit´s outfit. The colour is not good, I don´t even know what to call it. It looks like concrete, cold and lifeless, washes her out. The silhouette of her coat is good (I like knee-length, A-line silhouettes), but it´s lacking interest, and doesn´t fit her well (too tight). Also, the material looks thin (dare I say cheap?), and just the ruffles on the sleeves save it from looking like a dirty lab coat.
Sonja´s coat on the other hand looks happy, and suits her well. It´s on the casual side, given the gentlemen are in uniform with orders, but still a good look for her.

  7. Iceland's First Lady looks silly and underdressed for the event. If she can't be bothered to make more of an effort for herself she should at least do it for her country.

    1. She looks ridiculous. I'm sure they were informed of the dress protocol. When I saw the first photo I wondered why this person was standing with the royals as she looked like some sort of aide.
Sadly, she is Canadian, from Ottawa which may not be Montreal [or even Toronto, lol] but it's not a complete backwater. I'm embarrassed for her.

  9. The Queen looks fabulous, love the color of the coat and the hat is very chic. I will not comment the style of MM or the First Lady, because I don't want to be unkind.

  10. This photo gives me a strange impression, everything seems totally mismatched, the gentlemen in their gala uniform, the queen wrapped in a bathrope, together with the flat black boots, long black gloves, a blue! hat and sunglasses!, what event does she want to attend like this, the funeral of a mafia boss in Napoli?
MM in one of her most unflattering outfits she does possess, this cheap looking piece in an nonexisting color almost explodes over her chest, makes me feel uncomfortable simply to look at it, this silly piece on her head!, uarrgs!!, no hair-style , no makeup, nude pumps.....washed-out look in perfection!
The First Lady looks totally underdressed and out of fashion. Even the suit of the president looks too simple to me. If you want to know how a gentleman wears a suit for an official event have a look at King Felipe.

    2. I wonder why these royals wear these operetta "military" costumes when their guest is not obviously going to be wearing anything similar.
I think King Felipe does not do this. He wears an elegant business suit on such occasions.
