  1. Wow! Ladylike and elegant as she is,Letizia can wear even a dress like this. Very few women can!

    1. Wears it so well. Great observation! Please share a pic from the back if you find one, Ms. Electra!

    2. Hellen Electra, you are the best!

    3. Of course she 'can' wear it, but this does not mean she 'should' wear it. Not for this occasion!

    4. Lol Beth. I like the look! She has been pushing the envelope here and there. I have a penchance for black and white and sequins- it's an illness I contracted in the 80s!

  2. Yuck and yuck for the dress, even if she wasn't a bag of bones, but her hair is nice. The other dress? Way, way too fussy. A miss on both of them.

  3. Oh my goodness! What a contrast between the ladies. It's a definite win for the queen. Amazing dress and her hairstyle is impeccable.
This state visit has been such fun for the spectators!

    1. Exactly what I thought! The lady on white is still in her morning gown, while the lady in stripes is ready for a roaring night out.

    2. Agree. Letizia looks dresses for club and Awada looks like she found her Granny's 1950's curtains and thought "Toga Party"!

  5. Prison stripes on Leti.

  6. I dont like this dress at all

  7. Letizia is dressed like she's going to a New Years Eve party at the club and Juliana is dressed like she's getting ready for bed.

  8. Even if the pattern Letitia's dress was something other than prison cell bars, the style is ugly.

  9. Letizia is as impeccably groomed as ever; her hair, makeup and jewellery are stunning. The dress isn't to my personal taste, but the overall effect is spot on. The shoes almost leave me speechless; beautiful but dangerously, amazingly high! Wow!!!

  10. Letizia wears this dress spectacularly (not an easy dress for most women to wear).

  11. The First Lady's ensemble is more fitting to a girls night out, rather than an official reception at the palace ! Whereas, Letizia is groomed to perfection.

  12. Juliana Awada is just stunning! She's so charming & elegant. I love everything about her.

  13. Sorry, I don't like either of these. Ms. Awada's look is too fussy and the dress particularly is just a poorly designed piece. I don't like that summertime Ibiza party hair either. Her earrings are spectacular however.
Letizia looks way better than the First Lady but I sense quite a contrast between the bare shoulders and the black tights. And to be honest, I don't like the dress either, it's too partylike and prison-patterned. She is of course impeccably groomed, her hair is gorgeous but her makeup, though very nice, is too heavy for my taste.

  14. The Argentinian pair hosted this reception. It's the "reverse" dinner, if you want.
