Japan's Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko, Crown Prince Naruhito and his wife Crown Princess Masako, Japan's Prince Akishino and his wife Princess Kiko, Princess Mako and her younger sister Princess Kako of Akishino attended a state banquet is held in honour of Singapore President Tony Tan Keng Yam and his wife Mary Tan at the Imperial Palace on Nov. 30, 2016 in Tokyo, Japan.

  2. I wish these young ladies could dress like it is 2016 and not 1945-1970. I like vintage but they are so bland. I bet they would love to wear a little color? Some stilletos? Leave their hair down? I respect the traditional ways but things need to change. I would have a breakdown if I had to be dressed like this all the time.

  5. Sadly, the Japanese Imperial Household which "coordinates" the activities and the lives of the Japanese royal family, is blissfully stuck in a time warp. The Japanese royal ladies dress as if they are in the 60's and early 70's, instead of 2016, soon to be 2017.
