  1. A short, straight skirt is not practical to get out of a car. Too much leg showing, princess..........

  3. That is absolutely ridiculous Danish curtsy in 21 Century.

  4. Good grief calm down about the curtsy Grandmothers Apron. The DoC curtsy was proper enough. This is not pre WWI. These days it is a sign of respect but not done to such an extreme. If the Danish wish to do that with their Queen than fine but don't compare other royals. Annoys the heck out of me when this happens. Catherine has nothing to do with this post.

  5. The deep curtsy like they still do in Denmark looked good in 17th/18th century when women wore the crinolines under their skirts.LOL
Today it just looks like they all have tripped over something and are getting caught by those who they curtsy to.

  6. Sorry to write it, but Marie has been a Danish princess for more than eight years, but never learnt to dress like a princess IMO!

  7. I admire the danish princesses for curtsying that deep to their queen but don't compare them with other royals. And they don't look like they were tripping to me.

    1. @ Mimi, in this particular sentence "tripped over something..." it was figurative expression.

  9. In the 5th picture it looks as if Marie is kneeling in front of Margaret as if she's praying to her or asking for blessings. I know nothing about Danish curtsies, but this seems way too extreme in 2016.
