  1. I think she wore that dress before. It is nice but without wrap in the almost the same color as dress.
Suede shoes are always elegant .

    1. Yes she did. When she and WA visited Denmark last year. It looked wow then and it does now :) But I agree it's better without the wrap. Her shoes are gorgeous too. I'm not really a fan of this windswept (in other word: unkept) hair but this has been mentioned by so many and so many times that I'm starting to feel exhausted by the topic :) Besides, I so love this coatdress, it's so unique and chic and suits her perfectly - I don't even care about the hair.

  2. She would need a hairbrush.

  3. Most of the times her hair is messy .... most of the times there is no lipstick on her lips ... and she has very pale lips ............ most of the times she doesn't look as a queen ... none can claim she is a gorgeous woman ...

    1. @ CHRISTIANNA K, and how QUEEN should look according to you ?
If you saw Queen Elizabeth of England or Queen Letizia or Queen Mathilde in the crowd, or shopping mall or grocery store would you know that they are Queens?
Good hairdo and lipstick does not make the Queen!
As a matter of fact I have always good hairdo, nice hair and lipstick on my lips, am I the Queen?

    2. Well that is a bit of an extremization, dear Christianna. Millions of gorgeous women don't wear lipstick, like, never ever at all. Are you quite sure lipstick is a non-negotiable part of being gorgeous? Or being queenly?
Indeed we all complain a lot about her messy hair here but otherwise I think she is the most queenly queen of our times. Yes, Lilibeth II included (at least for me she even outqueens QEII :) I wouldn't say she is perfect, far from it and sometimes she puts on some really unflattering, unlucky or even plain ugly pieces but she (her style) is daring, bold, extravagant, outstanding, unique - like someone who thinks 'I'm a queen, I like this, I'll wear this, I don't give a **** what others say'. That is the most queenly attitude a royal lady can afford nowadays, isn't it? :)

    3. I think Maxima is stunning! Just look at the photos when WA was sworn in as King- could there have been a more beautiful Queen, I think not.

Maxima is beautiful, gregarious, intelligent - simply stunning!

  4. 'hahaha', what a funny comment ;-)), you will hardly find a woman who is more of a queen than Maxima, yes, her hair is often a mess, we all know that, but she is very smart, beautiful, good hearted, works hard, has the most radiant smile and has a unique fashion style and a great personality, this counts more than a'lipstick'

  5. We have a QUEEN who is a very hard worker, doing 2 jobs (queen and UN Advisor on Financial Sectors) and also giving the impression to like both of her jobs. On state visits, state diners and state outings she is always very glamorous. She's very low key at so called "work-visits". She can't help having very thin hair and therefore difficult to keep in shape. Besides the weather here is often humid and windy. Looking in the mirror every 5 minutes to check if she still looks like a queen, is not one of her priorities. Being interested in whatever she visits and the people who show her around that’s her style. Fortunately!

  6. Well said folks. Good Replies. Christianna, she doesn't require to wear heavy make up to look like queen. She is a queen in her attitude and her work. So just stop commenting people about their outer looks. She is more than a queen, people of the netherlands respect and love her. I am from india. We don't know much about any other royal families except for the british royal family. Still it was her great achievments which made her to reach us.

    1. @ Rajashree, This blog is to see pictures of royalties and to write comments about their fashion, "about their outer looks "
      So enjoy while you can!
