  9. So great to see the Queen using her knowledge and skills in finance to help the impoverished, in a country so different from her own. Few westerners get to see where the fashions they wear are made. Thanks to her upbringing in a non-European country, Maxima truly has an international view of humanity. She is an asset to the UN.
PS: love the outfit with the ballet flats, the whole look - it's a nice change from the usual, as well as showing sensitivity to and solidarity with local dress norms. A thoughtful gesture from a tall woman.

  10. Agree, Queen Maxima is bold, always fun and colorful, not afraid to be herself and enjoy life, What joy she carries with her, proud to be a Latina but representing women and Netherlands. She will never look stuffy and unapproachable, I love to see what she is wearing, it's a great diversion from my day.

  15. She is so warm. A great role model for our daughter and sons and modern women today. I may get blocked for this comment, but some royals appear and act like they have a cold rod up their behinds. Even the sweet ones keep their distance, but Maxima takes risks and gets out there in the middle of things..if her hair is messy sometimes it means she can't be bothered by a hairdresser running a step ahead of her to tidy up her hair, that's a good thing if you ask me. Some other Royals need to get their hair messed up to get real and hop off the pedestal.
