  1. While there are many beautiful royal ladies, Queen Mathilde is such a classic beauty and so elegant looking, she kind of ends up in a class by herself.

    1. She is the first Belgian-born queen consort, the first who worked before her marriage, she is very natural, no airs and graces. It is plain to see she loves her husband and family and I think she is well loved in return, by the people too. The king is probably attending to kingly duties!!!!

  2. Love her red jacket! Very festive, too! Where is the King?

  3. Ella llevó en su indumentaria y aretes los colores de la bandera de Bélgica de una manera sutil. Qué elegancia! La más digna de todas las reinas jóvenes actuales.

    She looks tired and drained.

    1. Mathilde seems to really empathise with the Belgian player's loss and disappointment. Understandably,it would be hard for her to look invigorated by Andy Murray's win.

An exaggerated explanation after all it is just a tennis match.

    3. Well, if you love sport, as most royals do, it's never "just a tennis match" :).
As we have seen with the Olympics, where their own country is concerned, royals in the crowd get just as emotional as the rest of us. The atmosphere of a live grand final event is highly charged.
Mathilde looks fine in pics 1 and 3 (before the match and at the end of the match, I think). The pics of her looking deflated seem to have been taken while the match was in progress.

A lot of tv news and newspaper, say that King Philip and Mathilde were relaxing in a French spa during Belgium's darkest period!
Bruxelles was in maximun terror alert, while they had their trip.
      Shame on you "so-called royals"
