Prince Nicolas of Sweden's christening: First official photos

The first official photos have been released from Prince Nicolas of Sweden's christening. The images, which were posted on the royal family's official Facebook page, show the four-month-old prince surrounded by his family and loved ones in a series of lovely photographs in celebration of his special day.

One snapshot shows little Nicolas with his mother and father, Princess Madeleine of Sweden and Christopher O'Neill, along with his big sister Princess Leonore as they sit for a family photograph together following the service, which took place on Sunday 11 October in the Drottningholm Palace Chapel.

Another image shows the newest member of the royal family joined by his grandparents, King Carl Gustaf, Queen Silvia and Mrs Eva O'Neill, while a third features Nicolas' aunts and uncles, including Crown Princess Victoria, who is herself expecting her second baby, and Prince Carl Philip – one of the little boy's godfathers.

    I personally think that the family of Chris isn't so good looking or classy looking at all. Chris looks the best from the entire family

      I don´t agree his mother has a good appearance and his niece Milana Gräfin of Abensperg is a natural beauty.

    Christopher O'Neill and the Princess Madeline have a beautiful family. Parents are intelligent, loving and utterly photogenic as are the cute little children. Loved watching the christening ceremony.

    What a beautiful family!
    But I have a questioni: why are Leonor and Nicolas called Princess/Prince? Their father is untitled (because he refused the title that the King offered to him). I know that Madeleine 's cousins (her aunts' children) are not Prince/princess cos their fathers are not royal.
