Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands announces abdication of the throne
Queen Beatrix has announced today, 28 January 2013, that she will abdicate on 30 April 2013 in favor of her oldest son, the Prince of Orange, Prince Willem-Alexander. so Crown Princess Maxima will become Queen of Netherlands and HRH Princess Catharina-Amalia will be Princess of Orange.
What a wonderful Queen and woman!
ReplyDeleteI am not Dutch, nor do I speak the language, however Queen Beatrix's warmth, and kindness transcended any language barriers.
I, along with many others wish Queen Beatrix every happiness in this next stage of her life.
