Wedding of Prince Philip of Serbia and Danica Marinkovic

Prince Philip of Serbia, the younger son of Serbian Crown Prince Aleksandar Karadjordjevic, married with Danica Marinkovic in a religious ceremony held at the Cathedral Church (Church of St. Michael the Archangel) in Belgrade. Queen Sofia of Spain and Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden attended the wedding ceremony of Prince Philip of Serbia (also known as Filip Karadjordjevic) and Danica Marinkovic. Prince Filip, 35, married Danica Marinkovic, a 31-year-old painter and sculptor, daughter of famous Serbian painter Milan Cile Marinkovic.

  1. Was CP Victoria a sort of witness/godmother or something special in the wedding ceremony?

    1. She is a 'god parent' as she holds the candle. Each couple being married needs one as part of the Orthodox ceremony.

  2. The pleated H&M dress in pale rose is gorgeous. You can get in in sale for less than 100 Euros.

But I must say as much as I like Victoria and respect her choice of hairstyle, her hair here is much too harsh. If she's got issues with long hair surrounding her face, she should get advice of a good hairdresser. I know what I am talking about. I have straight and heavy hair. As long it was long it was so heavy it would irritate the nerves of my scalp. I only felt better when I cut my hair. I think Victoria would benefit from a chin lenght bob.

The pearl necklace of Queen Sophia is not nice, it is too heavy.

Apart from that Serbia is not a monarchy anymore. Ther is no such a thing like a royal serbian family. This is all fairytale news.

    1. Fairy tale suggests not true - and it happened. There may not be a Serbian monarchy recognised anymore but they still exist as people with links to other royal families, two significant members of which attended the ceremony.

I would also like Victoria's to try different hairstyles but I'm not sure a chin length Bob for someone with such a strong jawline would work.

    2. I don't think her hair is straight, a chin length bob would probably result in curls everywhere!

    3. Sadly Victoria's hairstyle is too often too harsh.
I don't even care what she's wearing because whenever I see her with one of her usual tightly slicked down buns..I just sigh.
There are lots of women with frizzy and curly hair but they manage to be more inventive with their hairstyles. I guess she just don't care and its more simplier for her to style her hair like this...

  4. Victoria looks lovely - that shade of pink is very flattering and I like the pleating. Queen Sofia looks very elegant and the bride's dress is simple but pretty.

  5. I think most people are very fed up with Victorias hairdos by now. Except at Nobel, then she usually makes an effirt.

  6. I suspect that Victoria has very curly hair, inherited from her mother. The tightly swept back hair seems to also have lots of product on it to keep it that way. There is a photo of Sylvia at the Rio Olympics and it's obvious that her hair has the 'frizz' of natural curls. There are very few photos of Victoria with her hair casual, but look at the ones where she is doing something athletic and it tends to show that frizz and be a bit out of control. Madeleine may have it too, photos of her as a small child, she had very curly hair. Victoria has more on her mind that fussing with hair!

  7. Not sure I love the dress on the bride. It makes her look bulky and doesn't appear to be fitted correctly.

Victoria's dress is lovely and she always seems so happy.
