    1. I doubt you are right about that, it has all the formalities and dress of the actual event.

    2. The dress was a big part of the event, designed by the winner of Stardust Award. As is always in this event, Mary wear dress designed by the winner.

  2. Lovely dress but for the uneven hem. And red shoes with it?

  3. Love it! Mary looks very sophisticated and elegant. She is the best dresser of the bunch we follow.

  4. Sorry, but I think yesterday CP didn't make a good choice with this dress with strange lace hem and shiny material.

What happens with this colour this weekend? CP Mary, Duchess Catherine, CP Stephanie... they all have worn it

  5. Me gustan los zapatos, son originales. El vestido es feísimo.

  6. Honestly can't make up my mind about the dress. I'm not sure about the shininess of the material I do like the shoes very much.

  7. I want to like the dress but the shiny material puts me off, as does the strange pleating in the skirt.
But that said, she does look elegant and charming. And points to Frederik for the coordinating tie!

  8. Love CP Mary's style! Elegant with splashes of color and a little twist. The shoes make the dress pop.

  9. The dress Mary wears to this event is always designed by the Danish fashion designer award winner. This year it is Cecilie Bahnsen.

    1. I am actually amazed Cecilie Bahnsen has managed to do much better dress piece to Mary than the sacks she normally design. The material is high quality silk. I am also amazed that people here complain about the material really.

  10. And what about the huge white dress the woman of the last photo is wearing?

The most unflattering dress I have ever seen.

    1. That person is the winner Cecilie Bahsen, also the designer of Mary´s dress. That white sack is how the clothes she designs mostly look like.

  12. The first picture with the lighting, Prince Fredreik looks like he is photoshopped in.

  13. I really like the upper part of Mary´s dress. Well-structured, classic shape, with a little twist but without looking try-hard. I like the ice blue colour as well, and don´t mind the shiny material. Unfortunately, I don´t think the skirt part is as successful. It´s a tad to long, the uneven hem looks messy rather than interesting, and the huge pleats just don´t sit right. The shoes I find most distracting, they match neither style-wise nor colour-wise.
    Fredrik´s suit is a big let-down.
And the massive white dress is desaster. (She is the award winner?)

  14. They are a photogenic couple. It's a lovely dress, soft pleats are tricky to iron and the center front pleat shouldn't be tapered. His tie coordinates w/her outfit. Hope we see the dress again, with a straight front.

  15. I don't like the dress. The hem is just too much. I think the pleats at waist just make this gathered in an odd way. The color is beautiful. I even like the color amd red shoes. Mary is beautiful as usual but overall it hangs in a weird way. Also it seems like a tablecloth border/runner. I give it a C-

  16. It's a no from me to a usually top rated royal dresser!
Material, lace hem, pleats, hair, shoes (what the...) nothing is really attractive by it self and certainly not jumbled together...

  17. The top part of the skirt is actually reminiscent of Mary’s wedding dress with the inverted pleats.
