  1. Mary looks very elegant.
The black is too sombre on Marie, especially with the high neck.

  2. I really love the black dress on Marie. I've come to expect slightly boring, unsophisticated styling from this princess, but this gown is elegant and simple, yet interesting in its embellishment. Her hair also looks full and lovely.

  3. Yes, Mary looks elegant in colour … Marie is in boring BLACK as usual! To put it straight, I find she is totally lacking in style. In fact, she gives a 'tasteless, cheap impression' in the way she is dressed, IMO !

  4. Elegant and stylish as always.
Ps. Fredensborg Palace is located in Fredensborg and not in Copenhagen 😉

  5. Mary as always looking gorgeous! She has a refined innate taste to dress royally! Marie is in black too boring, as usuelly.

  7. Mary looks lovely.
There is nothing wrong with Marie´s dress except for the colour. All-over black is never a good choice for a gown, especially if you also have dark hair. It´s just a wall of black and "swallows" the person. Black is perfect for a cocktail dress - the famouus little black dress (that shows enough bare skin to provide a contrast). The more black, the bigger the need for a contrasting colour somewhere, and if your hair colour doesn´t give you that, you desperately need accessories in a strong, bright colour, or you look either gothic or ready for a funeral.

    1. Une robe dé col tée aurait éclairé son visage .Le corsage à l'air énorme, alors qu'elle est toute mince .

  9. Where is Frederick? I would have thought he would be present for this important dinner. Yes, Mary's dress is lovely. She is probably the best dressed Royal.

  13. Mary looks stunning, dress, jewellery and hair are perfect.

Sadly Marie's dress looks like it is something she purchased from a cheap chain store (although I know it would be far from cheap), somehow Marie just never seems to get it right.
