  3. Thank you for this fascinating look bringing us back twelve years. (I wish Mette-Marit would return to the lovely darker shade of blonde she had back then. Currently her hair looks much too bleached platinum blonde which is just not flattering. Her hair looked so much better and elegant in these wedding photos from a dozen years ago.)

    1. Have you told that to Gwen Stefani, Christina Aguilera, Sienna Miller, Gwyneth Paltrow, Cameron Diaz, Scarlett Johansson, Pink or even the icon Marilyn Monroe that platinum blondes are out???Hair color is free will we have the one we feel comfortable in even the royals. Had Mette gone back to this conservative boring color witch she would have problems to do considering she's gone grey, so the one she have is closer to nature these days criticism would still be out there. We are talking about the pecking royal Mette-Marit!

    2. Geesh Louise you misread what Beverly24 said totally.

She NEVER SAID PLATINUM HAIR IS OUT! Get over yourself dear!

She said it doesn't work well with Mette-Marit and I AGREE. I have always thought it washes her out.

No one is actually criticising here. It was just a comment.

Calm down! Have a cup a tea! Yes hair color is free? Not quite free but I think you when we are free to choose our own color.

Have no idea what you mean by "the pecking royal"?

Be kind dear....it's suits you much better. You are a little rude here and ASSUMING what Beverly24 meant.

I agree with you Beverly 24

    3. If platinum blonde hair is OK on everybody else why is it a no no on Mette? If you read US press and others who work with fashion daily they love her blonde hair. So what does that say? You must know what pecking means? And pecking royals mean one of those who can never win, but we always gonna find something to complaine about! And you as the rest of us assume every day. So be kind dear...

    4. I totally agree! Golden blonde is far more becoming to Mette Marit and her general style in my opinion. And each to their own.

Perhaps she was platinum blonde as a child like her sons, and she wants to recapture that. I know my hair colour has changed as I have aged, it isn't as coppery as it used to be. I just can't be bothered colouring my hair.

Mette Marit can look great with platinum blonde hair too, however to wear it well she needs to wear more makeup than she normally chooses to wear, although I don't think she normally wears makeup (which is fine, women don't have to wear makeup if they don't want to).

I think Mette Marit looks stunning when at official events such as weddings when she is fully made up, the makeup softens the starkness of the platinum blonde, it seems to balance out her look.

I also think when you dye your hair, you need to maintain it, but then I may just be old fashioned because dark roots are all the rage now and once upon a time an ombre would have been a bad dye job.

    1. Why compare the two couples? There is no need to do that here. This is a post about these two and THEIR anniversary. No need to bring any other people into the post.

Not sure why many do this here. I can only think that so many are either obsessed with these people or are jealous in some way.

Would you like people to compare you and your mate to another couple? I think not.

      Don't be silly.
