  2. Princess Madeleine recycled Elie Saab dress that she wore for her pre-wedding dinner in 2013 together with the Modern Fringe Tiara.
Princess Victoria wears new (?) dress. Sadly boring color, too short lining. She teamed it with Lauren Leaf Tiara.

    1. But expensive Saabs Melrose dress goes for 6624 Euros.

    2. 6624 Euros for THAT dress?!
Wow, that's definitely overpriced for this one.
I guess there was handmade lace used and that makes it so expensive. But there are so many better dresses (by Elie Saab and by other designers!) out there for that price. Dresses that flatter and look amazing. Sorry but this one was just plain boring and despite impressive pricetag it looked cheap!

  3. As always, Madeleine is the beauty here. Her dress looks like one of Kate, the duchess of Cambridge wore years ago, beautiful. I agree Victoria's gown looks bleh. Martha Louise is as beautiful as ever.

  4. What's this adorning Mary's hair? Is it new?!? Love the laurel wreath tiara from Princess Lillian on CP. This is my recycled favorite dress worn by Princess Benedikte!

    1. Mary has a hair piece designed by the same designer as Midnight Tiara, Ole Lynggaard, from collection Golden Forest. It is made from gold and diamonds, 198 diamonds to be precise.

    2. I like Mary´s modern dress very much. It is well cut and pattern is nice. I very seldom like any prints in evening dresses. Madeline looks now better than with that dress before her weddings. Those big historic epaulet earrings look good with that Elie Saab gown. Vicroria´s dress looks too much like granny´s nigtie, Although it may have looked IRL better, flash light may not do any good for it.

  5. In my opinion, best are Madeleine and Martha Louise. Victoria is OK but a little lackluster. Why isn't Sofia there? she might outshine them all.
Didn't care for Mary's dress, and absolutely disliked all the queen's dresses Beatrix, Margareth and Silvia.

  10. Mathilde looks beautiful, soft colors suit her well, match with her personality.

  11. Very disappointed with the whole event. The Kings 60th was much more exciting sartorially speaking.

CP Mary who is normally stunning, wore a dress which reminded me or one of her day dresses. Couldn't really get a good look at what was in her hair.

Everyone else seemed a little blah too! Princess Madeleine's dress is lovely, CP Victoria's dress is pretty, but I so wanted colour and lots of jewels!

    Where was Queen Maxima?

    1. Princess Beatrix was there representing the Dutch Monarchy. It's mostly done with sending one person or a couple. Exceptions are Denmark and Norway (not this time, because Norway had a national tragedy the day before, so only Märtha Louise came with her husband), they have a more close relationship to Sweden. More disappointing that no one from Luxembourg had been there, same as Greatbritain. Those were the only Royals missing in the gathering...

  12. Picture 5. What is Victoria doing with her mouth? Odd smile. Looks like she is sucking in to make her cheeks more prominent.

I kind of like her dress. Wish it was a different color

  13. What in the world was Princess Beatrix thinking???????????? That could very well be the worst gown I've ever seen a Royal lady wear!
