Religious ceremony? To satisfy the Grimaldis, I guess, since the bride is an atheist. I guess this is the final final wedding, they're REALLY married now!

Oh, okay, if Beatrice is not or no longer an atheist then I apologize. I was going by what she had said years ago.

  9. I saw no pictures of Charlene at the Monaco wedding. I have seen no pictures of Charlene at this religious wedding? Surely she attended Princess Caroline's son's wedding? Where is Albert? Very strange.

Albert is apparently at an IOC meeting in Malaysia, scheduled lo-o-o-ong before this wedding. Charlene is in Monaco with her babies. Perhaps Albert and Charlene are glad they missed this circus, it doesn't seem to suit their rather quiet style.

The bride looked beautiful in every gown she wore for both her weddings. Being an Australian, I don't understand the need for Civil and Religious Weddings, we have either one or the other not both. I am also new to this fad of having more than one wedding gown too, but then I supposed if you are blessed with millions or billion - why not!

I would have loved to have seen Charlene, but she seems very reluctant to leave her babies, she is so besotted with motherhood, and despite having Nannies I don't think anyone can fault a new Mother for not wanting to leave her children, however I would have loved to have seen what she would have worn to the wedding.

Alas there were no photos of Camille either, as Camille is blossoming into a lovely young lady, who in my opinion will soon outshine her sister.

Caroline's dress was unique (to be polite), and Charlotte's dress was a very unusual choice, something that would have looked very nice on Stephanie or on her mother, although Charlotte when she can summon a smile always looks beautiful no matter what she wears.

Reports are that Charlene is fighting with the other members of the family, Albert is on the middle, and this is why Charlene did not attend and it had nothing to do to stay with the twins.

That's interesting, but sad. I read something ages back, where Princess Stephanie was saying how much she liked Charlene. She made a point of saying that they weren't alike, but that she really liked Charlene.

It would be lovely if they all got along, because Charlene and Albert looks as though they are a lovely couple, and very much in love, and Charlene has blossomed since the birth of the twins.

Pure speculation, but perhaps Princess Caroline is put out that her children are no longer heirs to the Principality.

My mind is running amok with speculation.

    3. To Anonymous at 2.45 - I live in Canada but I am European, where in most countries the Church and State are separate. The civil wedding in those countries is the only one that counts. The State doesn't care a rat's arse about a religious wedding, it exists only because of the people's religion. I did not want to be married in church but my future in-laws said that if we didn't, they would not attend the civil wedding. I felt like a huge hypocrite because I had to go to confession, in which I don't believe - before we could get married in church. In my country, there are 4 important things in a person's religious life - the christening (as opposed to the birth), the communion (Catholics), the church wedding (as opposed to the civil wedding), and finally the funeral. None of those count for the State - you have to declare your child's birth at the city hall or whatever, they don't care about the communion, you have to be married in a civil ceremony, and your death has to be declared at city hall (or wherever).
