    1. The cut and the colour of QS is old-fashioned to me. MM looks enormous with that tight dress.

I do not like apricot either. Mette-Marit must get clothes her size.

  5. I think Queen Sonja look fantastic in the clasical royal style, I particularly like the asymmetrical closure of the jacket, it gives it a little twist and making it more interesting, the color is also a breath of fresh air, and the hat complements the outfit very well. MM dress looks discreet and appropriate, the outfit could have been elevated introducing a little color with the shoes or a brooch. What calls my attention about this picture is how patent is the difference in fashion of both generations, Sonja is the perfect image of how royal women have dressed for decades, and MM presents a more actual and less elaborate sense of fashion, independently of our own particular preference.

Q Sonja looks elegant and a regular hat finish up a good look for her.I don't know why MM always wears cloths a half size to small. The white dress looks very nice from the front but the back is not attractive.

  8. I have seen Queen Sonia in pantyhose of this whitish color several times, and it is not a good look. Rather strange as there's plenty of choice in nude nudes, like Falke. I also wonder why the Crown Princess often wears clothes which are too tight and unflattering.
The length of trousers of both the King and his guest is not right, too.

    1. I think Queen Sonja wears that color of pantyhose because it offers more coverage and hides the typical imperfections of the legs of an 80 year old woman, nudes that are thicker and cover a little more tend to look like medical compression socks, and then, there is black which is not ideal in spring. Of course this is just my take on the subject, maybe she just likes it :-)

    2. Perhaps Mette-Marit sets herself a goal for losing weight?

    3. She seems to be gaining more and more. I agree her clothes are almost always too small. The Queen's suit is perfect. I also, at my advanced age, have problems with legs showing spots and a large remnant of a dog bite. I do not wear skirts very often. A heavier denier i hose will hide some imperfections.

The queen looks stylish and the color suits her well. The cut of the jacket is very flattering on her. I like Mette-Marit's hair here. Not sure if there is a braid or a headband holding back here hair but it is pretty. The creamy white color of her dress complements her, just wish the style was not so full, not the most flattering.

  10. Queen Sonja looks so chic and put-together. She is my idea of a woman who has aged beautifully and gracefully.

  12. MM's white dress makes her look too big and ungainly. But for the whitish strange hose, queen Sonja looks fine. The men's pants are too long.

Oh my dear Mette-Marit, please choose dresses and colors and sizes that don't make you look heavy. I wonder how she can breathe properly in that too-tight white coat-dress. Is there nobody to help her? Does she not look in mirrors or at photos of herself? Does she not care?

  16. It is okay that MM is getting heavier, the slimming craze has gone too far. Let us look like people, not like clotheshangers. However, too small clothes looks bad. She has money enouhg to buy well fitting clothes or have the old ones changed by a seamstress.
