  1. Ok, I have to say... loving this outfit. Queen Rania is able to pull off this dress and white booties. The modest yet polished look is quite stunning.

    1. White ankle boots are all the craze this year. Not everyone can pull it off, but Queen Rania has. One of my clients insisted on getting a pair, against my strong recommendation...and let's just say not everyone can pull them off.

    2. In my opinion Queen Rania doesn't "pull off" wearing white ankle boots, the dress is pleasant enough, however the boots are dreadful!

White boots are a throw back to the 80's and that is where they belong, never to be seen again, like the "mullet".

    3. What shoes would you pair with this dress? Neutral wedges, perhaps?

  6. I hate those white ankle boots. Looks like a another short-lived fashion-hype.
Rania´s dress is nice, but nothing to write home about.
What strikes me about these photos are the two girls, especially the older one. They look surprisingly non-covered, showing their beautiful hair and looking happy and colourful and "free" while still perfectly at home in the cultural setting they´re in. Normally, in photos featuring Rania, we can see this very modern and trendy queen, looking all stylish and always un-covered, and all the other females, girls and women alike, look all covered up, making Rania often look totally out of place. I know she´s not dressing wrong, quite the opposite (I´m sure her non-conservative way of dressing has a positive impact on the women of the region), but the contrast very often is striking. In these two last pictures though, I feel like it all fits together (except for those white boots that look like they came from Mars).

    1. Why are people obsessed with women wearing or not wearing the head covering? Modesty is part of most cultures. Get over it.

    3. SimplyElegant, if you want to see "people obsessed", read the comments on Victorias bun or Stephanies black trousers.
As for women covering their heads: As long as women are insulted, arrested, beaten up or whatever, just because they refuse to cover their heads, this is a topic. Don't ignore that.

    4. Coralie, I roll my eyes when I hear people act like they know what the women's struggles are in other parts of the world, when we have plenty of our own struggles in our parts. Teenage pregnancy, single mothers, welfare dependency and prostitution galore all equates to first world problems. Let's clean up our own mess, and worry less about women who cover up because they are true to their faith. Plus, I've seen some super stylish head coverings, especially in parts of Africa. Many designers take fabrics and/or styles from these parts of the world.

  7. The dress is beautiful (great length, gorgeous sleeves), the boots are ghastly. Ugh! Ankle boots worn with a skirt (or with cropped pants) _never_ flatter the wearer or do anything for an outfit except ruin it.

  9. I don't mind the dress but the belt is a bit odd. I'm not one of those people who can't stand ankle boots at any price but I don't like this combination at all. I don't like the colour and I think it looks like she's trying too hard.
