Princess Victoria presented Vega Medal to Professor Gillian Hart

On April 24, 2018, Tuesday, Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden presented 2018 Vega Medal with a ceremony held at Stockholm Royal Palace. Geography Professor Gillian Hart of Witwatersrand University was deemed worthy of this year's Vega Medal because of his contributions to human geography. That medal was initiated by Swedish Anthropology and Geography Association (SSAG). Vega Medal is given by Swedish Anthropology and Geography Association to "people who have promoted geographical research in an excellent manner". At the ceremony, the Princess also presented 2018 Johan August Wahlbergs gold medal to Emeritus Professor Arild Holt-Jensen.

  3. Cream or White and Blue, my other favourite colours besides Black. Is this a Baum & Pferdgarten skirt? Nothing wow here but good for a business appointment.

Skirt blouse very nice combination with matching shoes and bag, and yes no bun,she looks good today.

  5. She looks like a parochial school student, including the ponytail. Not an appropriate look, in my opinion.

  6. I think princess Victoria looks nice today. And I like her ponytail. Very refreshing...

  7. By the length of her ponytail, her hair must be almost to her waist when down.

  8. I take this ponytail anyday.

    1. I know I like the ponytail. Makes her look less matronly than the bun does.

  9. She looks great. She has charisma, class, her own style and there is nothing anyone of us can do about it. Just enjoy her wonderful personality, sense of duty and her ability to learn and grasp issues of today.

  10. I understand people like her personality and sense of duty. But she's been wearing ugly outfits lately that make her look frumpy and lot older. Her pony tail is better than the ugly bun, but still her hair is strongly pulled back. She's a pretty woman, but needs to soften her strong features with a nice haircut.

  12. Viktoria wears some ugly outfits lately. Does she not have a stylist anymore? The schoolgirl ponytail is not a good hairstyle for a woman of her age and position.

  13. The skirt looks nice but is a bit too long. Better on the model.

  14. The skirt is not too long. It has the right length for this style, very wide with a fifties approach and these special pleats, in German they are called 'Kellerfalten'. The problem ist, it does not look good on Vicoria. This kind of skirt needs a different styling, flat shoes like on the model, the pumps make it look boring. And I would propose a white knitted short top not a grey one as the model wears.

A ponytail hairstyle could complete the look, if it was done the right way. The top part would have to be backcombed, the tail would have to sit higher and should be laid in curls. Google the words 'fifties' and 'ponytail' and you will find pictures that show the look.

Viktoias hair is too long for that. A classic Ponytail does not mean you simply pull your hair back and wind a scrunchy around it. This is not a hairstyle for an official occasion.
