Kensington Palace announced that Philippa Craddock has been selected for that role by issuing a series of tweets. Ms. Craddock will lead a florist team. Foliage obtained from local sources will be used. Those foliage will include the foliage of the gardens of the Crown Estate and Windsor Great Park. The displays in St George's Chapel will feature foliage coming from Windsor Great Park, including beech, birch and hornbeam branches, as well as white garden roses, peonies and foxgloves.

Kensington Palace stated that the designs will reflect the wild and natural landscapes from which many of the plants will be drawn. The Royal Parks will also supply some pollinator-friendly plants from their wildflower meadows, which will provide a good habitat for bees. The couple's lemon and elderflower wedding cake will also be decorated with fresh spring blooms. The flowers will be distributed to charitable organisations following the wedding.
