Princess Mette-Marit attended a memorial event at University Aula

Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway attended a memorial event at University Aula, held for the purpose of memorializing citizens who were of Jewish origin and deported from Norway 75 years ago. At the World War 2, Nazis who invaded Norway arrested all Jewish men on October 26, 1942 and sent them to Auschwitz concentration camp. Women and children were arrested on November 26 in order to deport them. Before the arrests, more than 2 thousand Jewish people were living in Norway.
