At least 20% of women are affected by mental health problems in the first year following birth and that disorder may cause permanent effects on the mother and her family. The meeting was held for the purpose of developing supports which can be given to the mothers who encounter that problem.

  1. I can't see very much of what she is wearing but she looks healthy and terrific!

  2. This is such an important topic. I think the 20% figure may be understating the incidence.
    And she does look radiant!

  3. This is such an important topic, I've never had a child, but had a hysterectomy this past summer and have had a lot of stress from work and between all this, there have been times I felt like I was just holding on by my fingernails. It's almost a joke and there isn't much support, but the feelings of sometimes not quite being in control are frightening.
